Thank you for choosing our 3DMRS series: “Parkour“.
Maybe you already have played one of our simula-tions. In this case, you already might feel familiar with some basic principles of gameplay. However, lots of features have been added which will be explained in this text. So please take some time to read this guide – it‘s gonna give you a good start.
We hope you’ll have a great time while mastering “Parkour”!
Your 3DMRS-Team
howdy!
registration.By purchasing “Parkour” you’ve received a license key. Entering this key entitles you to unlock the full version of the simulation on your particular, single device (PC, most likely).
License management has been extremely simplified in this release, which allows you to easily manage your license yourself.
THE VERY FIRST START
At the very first start, the simulation will enter demo mode. In the menu you may register your license or login to your user account. If you’ve recently purchased a license key, you will have to set up a user account first. To do so, choose and enter a user name, a valid email address and a password. You will then be asked to enter your license key, which will be assigned to your user account permanently. As soon as you completed this procedure, you’re ready to get started!
RE-ASSIGNMENT
Sometimes it might be necessary to transfer your license to another of your own devices due to changing the PC’s hardware, re-installing the operationg system or purchasing a new PC. Simply install the simulation on your new device and login to your account using your user name and password. Confirm the pop-up dialog to transfer the license to your new device.
MANAGING YOUR LICENSE
If you’ve forgotten your password or don’t have access to your initially assigned email address, there are various tools to manage your account. You can find them by clicking “manage account”. It’s located in the menu at the bottom right. Your browser will be started: simply follow the instructions on the web interface.
gamemodes.
“Parkour” introduces two game modes, which offer different possibilities of gameplay.
FREE MODE
In Free Mode, you may do anything you want. In this mode all functionalities are available: for example, you may control the amount of visitors or change the we-ather. You’re free to choose the time and season and customize the ride cycles without having to worry about financial aspects.
This mode excludes the financial system: Therefore, you wont be able to account for any monies during this mode. There is also no calculation of power and/or labor cost. Since your are determining the amount of visitors yourself, the passenger’s satisfaction is irrelevant. Please note: special achievements cannot be unlocked in Free Mode and you will not be awarded any eXperience Points for ticket sales.
Free Mode is the best way to play this simulation the way you might already know from our previous simulations.

OPERATOR MODE
Operator Mode is a new feature of 3DMRS’ simulations.
In this mode the main focus is on economic aspects of operating a funfair ride. Your season as operator starts in early January 2017. From this time, every day in the game is a working day for you. An hour in the game represents approximately 10 minutes in real time.
Your day already begins prior to fairground opening. The fair in this game is open all-year. Prepare your business by completing the daily checklist for the test ride and maybe even check the weather forecast to be prepared best.
It’s your job to maintain operations and run your business profitably. Your main focus should be on selling as many tickets as possible. The visitors’ moods are the key to success, which depend on time and weather. The visitors decision to buy a ticket also depends on the satisfaction of your passengers.

OPERATOR MODE
Please be aware of your running cost. For example: salary payments, electricity bill, fairground rental...
Pay attention to the local rules. If you do not take care of opening hours or rest peri-ods, you will face considerable penalties.
At the end of each day you have to do your account settlement. Your current game will be saved and you will be presented an evaluation of the day. The account settle-ment can be done at any time in order to save the game. Remember, however, that closing the day will do account settlement for all running costs. Revenues will be accounted to the following business day.
While in Operator Mode, you cannot influence weather, time and date manually. Certain achievements will be awarded if you run your business well.
quickmenu. Many of the functions described above can only be accessed via the menu items. The user interface has two parts: the „Quickmenu“ and the „Sidemenu“.
The „Quick menu“ is located at the top of the screen and controls the following functions: (Depending on the game mode, some functions might be blocked)
1: Current balance, listing all key figures 2: Total balance, current business day included 3: Satisfaction of passengers 4: Current weather display, providing weather mode selection 5: Current temperature 6: Manual time settings 7: Time 8: Calendar, providing manual day selection and weather forecast 9: Date 10: Choose game mode, exit
sidemenu. The „Sidemenu“ is located on the left and provides settings for elementary functions: (Depending on the game mode, some functions might be blocked)
1: Operator – Settings for Operator Mode; financial reports 2: Checklist – ToDo’s for daily test-runs 3: Music – sorted list of imported tracks providing easy access 4: Photo Mode – personalizing the First Person Camera 5: Environment – environment display settings 6: Visitors – visitors’ behavior 7: Achievements – achievements overview, current scoring status, ac-cess to MRS Rank 8: Settings – Settings for Graphics, Audio and Controls 9: Exit – Return to main menu or exit to desktop
features. The “Quickmenu” as mentioned above is quite intuitive. Let’s have a look at the “Sidemenu”:
OPERATOR
Management
While in Operator Mode, your day starts off right here. This sub-menu item provides an overview of the opening and operating times as well as the expected operating costs. Here is where you open and close your business day and set the price for ticket sales. As you have learned, closing the day (account settlement) is required to save the game.
Financial Report
This provides you an overview of all key figures on a monthly basis. This overview also contains an annual overview including your total balance. Please note that this overview excludes the currently running business day. Today’s reports will be availa-ble as soon as the current day has been closed.
CHECKLIST
You will have to successfully complete a test ride each day before you can open your business to the public. All bullet points on the list have to be checked prior to being able your business via the Operator Menu.
features.ACHIEVEMENTS
This provides you an overview of all achievements available. Achievements already awarded are highlighted and displayed on the left.
Your current level is displayed on the right. This also gives you an insight on how many eXperience Points you already have collected and how many XPs are missing to reach the next level. In this menu, you also may view the Highscore-List (MRS Rank) and reset your progress.
SETTINGS
General Settings
This section lets you change the language and define the framerate. Hints (tips displayed during the game) can be toggled on and off here. Hints will be displayed during gameplay to support you.
Graphics Settings
If you’re experiencing any performance issues, have a closer look on these settings. Define the quality of shadows and textures or control features which are more re-source intensive.

firstride.Don’t know how to control “Parkour”? Here’s a quick flow chart what to do:
1. Switch on the controls using the key switch on the control panel.
2. Switch on the machine
3. Close the restraints (use the horn to let your staff do this job)
4. Wait for the „Einstiegshilfe einfahren“ (Gondola Platform Up) button to light up
5. Bring the gondola platforms up
6. Push the flashing START button
7. Switch on the drive units (Center, Gondola, Eccentric)
Then, use the potentiometers to adjust the speed of the motors. Using the lift controls will make the eccentric drive causing the five arms to go up and down in a wave-shape motion.
To stop the ride, push the button “Fahrtende einleiten” (initiate end of the ride) and switch off the motors. As soon as the ride has come to a stand still, the button “Einstiegshilfe ausfahren” (gondola platforms down) will light up. Push this button to make the passen-gers able to leave the gondolas. Next, the button “Bügel lösen” (release restraint) will light up. Push this button to finally end the ride cycle.
By activating the motors, the Center Drive and Gondola Drive can be slowly pushed for-ward in while in parking mode.
additional.IMPORTING MUSIC & JINGLES
You can import your own music and jingles into the game. To import audio files, make sure that they have been converted to *.ogg fomar. If they don’t, you will have to convert them first. Then, find the installation folder on your hard drive and move those files into the following folders:
Music: Parkour_Data/MusicJingles: Parkour_Data/JinglesJingle-Sets: Parkour_Data/Jingles/Set*
After restarting the game, you will find your audio files inside the menu and within the music player on the lower left side of the screen. Your jingles can be easily ac-cessed via your keyboard.
EXPERIENCE-SCORE AND RANKING
In various situations, eXperience Points (XPs) are awarded within the game, e.g. for ticket sales (while playing in Operator Mode) or completing ride cycles (be creative).
Collecting achievements also pays to your account.
MRS Rank allows you to compete with others. Maybe, you will be on top of the Top-100 list one day.
