Jan. 16-27- Teachers talk with students about sequences of courses in their subject area
Jan 17th @ 3 p.m. –Jan. 24th @3p.m. Infinite Campus Student Portal open. Students enter course requests in student portal
-Try your best to enter them in. If you are having problems go to the Discovery Center. If you have questions for your counselor bring them to your scheduled meeting out of your English class.
Jan. 27- Feb. 14- Students meet individually with their Counselor to review requests.
Counselors will meet with students through scheduled English courses
Changes to requests can be made with counselors during student meetings.
You do not need to set up a separate meeting with your counselor. You will have plenty of time to talk to your counselor about your classes during your designated time out of your English class.
If the Infinite Campus Portal doesn’t work for you or you don’t understand how to use it, don’t worry, we can enter in all of your classes for you at our meeting
We have until February 20th to make changes, so if you need another meeting after your assigned meeting, let your counselor know.
Student must bring their completed and parent/guardian SIGNED
Course Request sheet to counselor meetings
Your meeting time is during your English class. Find your English teacher
on the list to find the date of your meeting.
NO request/class changes after February 20th.
-counselors are locked out after that date and staffing needs are determined
-the number of sections of each class is determined by how many people sign up for the course, so after February 20th courses can be full
The Academic Program Guide (pages 13-14) states “Student changes of mind or schedule preferences (teacher, period, time of day) will not be accommodated. Therefore, only for limited reasons will adjustments be considered and/or approved”
-When students get their schedules for each semester sophomore year the schedule is set and locked in. Only level changes and switching a study hall to a class (if open) are allowed.
