This document will outline details of an MEMORAMDUM OF UNDERSTANDING made

between SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT and …………………………………(name of

band/performer).

SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT presents PLAY d’ BEAT this Summer’2013 from 21st

June’2013 onwards on every Friday, Saturday & Sunday in Kolkata keeping the prime

interest in its mind that it is not a battle neither a competition show where you perform

to win. It is an initiative to promote Music and Musicians by providing a platform to allsuch band/performer(s) who wants deliver their talent and promote their identity in the

name of music.

1. Download and fill this form and submit it at the SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT office.

2. The Registration Fee will be collected at the SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT office. Unless it

is paid the registration will not be accepted.

3. On acceptance of the Registration Fee along with the form the Band/performer(s) will be

confirmed with the date and the venue of their performance. The Band/Performer(s) will

be provided maximum of 5 complimentary pass other than the performer(s) valid only at

the time of their performance.

4. You can make Xerox copies of this form and distribute among friends.

5. All band/performer(s) must submit a list of 15 songs which is a subject of approval by

SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT. The list should comprise of a minimum of 4 Regional, 4

English, 4 Hindi Covers and 3 Original Composition.

6. Each band will have to submit the lyrics of their original song as a typed sheet. Please donot scrawl it out on a piece of paper. Our Co-ordinators are music experts- not

handwriting analysts.

7. Each band must carry their own musical gear and equipments. However, SPOKERZ

ENTERTAINMENT will try and provide all the necessary equipment for each event where

possible. We will provide the Drum Kit to ensure quick-change overs. Each band will be

asked not to adjust the volume on any amps without the permission of the Sound

manager. The reason being that it can dramatically affect the performance and cause

horrendous feedback.

8. Each band/performer(s) must reach the venue with the appropriate musical gear readyto be set up and receive any briefing from management of the SPOKERZ

ENTERTAINMENT prior to one hour before their allocated time of performance.

9. Each band/performer(s) should abide by the slot timings provided to them prior to the

date of performance.

10. Sequencing will NOT be allowed. It will result in the band being disqualified.

11. All participating Bands must submit a brief write up on themselves. This may include 1 or

2 pictures, list of members and what they play, any interesting facts like: when they

began, their inspirations, favourite bands, the kind/genre of music they will perform,

competitions won etc. We require this for their promotion. Please keep this ready and

give it to us along with your Registration form- as it becomes difficult for us to follow up

on each band for the info.

12. Standards/ Duty of Care

• Unfortunately we could face enormous claims if people are injured during the event.

This would close the event down.

• Therefore:

• Each band/performer(s) MUST NOT encourage any person/s up on stage.

• Each band/performer(s) MUST NOT encourage any crowd surfing.• Each band/performer(s) MUST NOT encourage any unruly.

• Each band/performer(s) must behave professionally at all times. Band/performer(s)

must not swear or sing about inappropriate themes or they face disqualification.

Remember this event has been put on for your Promotion so treat it with the upmost

care. We would ask the lead

• Singer of any band to settle the crowd down after the song being sung this is to avoid

any unnecessary risk.

13. SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT would like to request all participants to please leave their

religious affiliations at home when they come to perform. You are welcome to praise

Jesus/ Allah/ Bhagwan/Guru-Nanak/ Ahura/ Moses/ Buddha/Mahavir… and a million

other Gods at your own Home/Church/temple/ Mosque/Synagogue… When you step on

stage - you will only praise The Gods of Music.

14. No alcohol/toxicities will be allowed on stage while performing.

15. No Cameras / Video camera's will be allowed unless prior permission has been sort from

SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT. By entering this Promotional event, you agree to allow

SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT to use photo and sound recordings for promotional use.

16. Any interested parties who would like to set up stands in the youth centre on the night

to promote that are promoting their band must seek permission from SPOKERZ

ENTERTAINMENT before doing so. SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT will be promoting each of

the band on the venue and also on their official website and facebook page.

17. SPOKERZ ENTERTAINMENT will have full control of all advertising either by radio/

newspaper/ flyers etc. Any band wishing to advertise themselves for any event being

held at the venue will need to be approved by the coordinator.

Breach of Memorandum of understanding.

Failure to ad heed to any of the above criteria could result in immediate disqualification.
