Define the role of nutrition in the diabetes-stroke relationship.

Identify the controllable lifestyle behaviors that increase the risk of a person with diabetes to have a stroke.

Review the current guidelines for appropriate therapy in patients with diabetes.

Describe the stepwise approach to drug therapy for type 2 diabetes.

Define health literacy best practices for healthcare settings.

Identify the 10 attributes of health literate organizations.
