Update Summary

Shaded Pole to Permanent Split Capacitor motor:– BTU conversion included in fan heat equation– Added slide showing percent of motors which are PSC

Linear fluorescent to LED case lighting:– Measures created for both 18hr and 24 hr lighting operation

Add doors to medium temperature walk-in reach-in:– Incorporated HVAC interactions for reduced case infiltration 

• heating savings, cooling penalty– Updated measure cost– Added BPA thermal imaging pictures 

Evaporator Motors – Shaded Pole to PSC

Addition to existing measure:– Existing program measure for

Shaded Pole to ECM, adding capability to go from Shaded pole to PSC

Measure:– Remove shaded pole evaporator fan motors and install permanent split capacitor

motors in display cases or walk-in cases.

Evaporator Motors – Shaded Pole to PSC

Application:– PSC motors are used

in high moisture environments where the motor is exposed to condensation.

– Typical applications: low temperature walk-ins, display cases with misters

– 8,553 ECM motors rebated– 278 PSC motors rebated– 3% of all rebated fans were PSC
