− GTCC is not authorized for separation / retirement travel!

− Ensure your current bank account remains open!

− Prior to separation, ensure your MOL username and password is active!

− There are no entitlements to DLA or TLE upon discharge from active duty.

− Travel claims must be submitted no later than one year after separating.

TRAVEL ENTITLEMENTSPROPER SUBMISSION OF TRAVEL CLAIMS

− The separation travel voucher can be completed by selecting the Travel Voucher link located under the Personal Info tab > Personal Updates> Travel Voucher in MOL.

− This new functionality will present the Marine with the data from their outbound interview and allow for any changes that may have occurred during execution of travel (i.e. change in travel dates, etc.).

− MOL will automatically attach a copy of the Marine’s separation or retirement orders. Upon completion and submission, the travel voucher will be sent to the servicing disbursing/finance office for settlement.

− Monetary Allowance In Lieu Of Transportation (MALT)

− Based on the official distance when traveling between official points by privately owed vehicle (POV).

− The MALT rate is usually updated on the first day of each calendar year. The current rate is $___/per mile (Facilitator will give current rate).

− Current and historic MALT rates can be located by visiting the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) website.

− MALT Plus (Flat rate) at the standard CONUS per diem rate is paid for each authorized travel day when the Service member is traveling in a POV.

− MALT Plus is authorized for the allowable travel time between official points of the journey.

− MALT Plus is usually updated on the first day of each fiscal year. The current rate is $___/per day (Facilitator will give current rate).

Dependents traveling who are over the age of 12 rate 75% of the Standard CONUS Per Diem rate

Dependents traveling who are under the age of 12 rate 50% of the Standard CONUS Per Diem rate

COMPUTATION OF TRAVEL DAYS

JTR 050205 ALLOWABLE TRAVEL TIME

0 – 400 miles = 1 Day 1801 – 2150 miles = 6 Days

401 – 750 miles = 2 Days 2151 – 2500 miles = 7 Days

751 – 1100 Miles = 3 Days 2501 – 2850 miles = 8 Days

1101 – 1450 miles = 4 Days 2851 – 3200 miles = 9 Days

1451 – 1800 miles = 5 Days 3201 – 3550 miles = 10 Days

− Ensure your current bank account remains open!

− To change your Direct Deposit account, submit a SF 1199A (Direct Deposit Form) with your NAVMC 11060!

− Best practice: If you desire to change your account, do it at least 2 or 3 paydays prior to departure to ensure funds are being transferred to the correct account!

− Disbursing will inform you of any overpayments in which you owe money to the USG.

− Monies owed to the USG will be reported to a collection agency after 60 days delinquency.

− The NAVMC 11060 is your Separation Travel Pay Certificate which is generated by your administrative unit.

− You will also receive order to Camp Pendleton or your Alternate Processing Station

− Ensure all information pertaining to your separation is correct prior to your NAVMC 11060 being generated.

−All regular pay entitlements will continue until the last day of active duty.

−Single Marines will receive BAH own right and BAS while on terminal leave.

−If terminal leave will be taken on island: It must be specified on the NAVMC 11060.

−If terminal leave will be taken on island: The member will need a letter of approval to separate on island.

−If terminal leave will be taken on island: COLA will stop on the 31st day of terminal leave.

−Marines retiring on island will continue to receive COLA and OHA until their EAS.

Lump Sum Leave is the payment for unused leave days and is included in your final direct deposit.
