Planning and realization of an equilibrate territorial socio – economical development, (regional development Law), based on sector strategies;

Ministry of Regional Development and Construction –the National Authority for regional development policy coordination and implementation.

•6 developing regions (North, Center, South, Chișinău, ATU Găgăuzia, Transnistria)

•3 functional developing regions: o North Region - 1 020 thousands habitants

(European Nomenclature of Territorial Units for statistics - NUTS 2)

o Center Region - 1 066 thousands habitants (NUTS 2)

o South Region - 524 thousands habitants (NUTS 3)
