Hereby we wish to give you a brief updates on what’s going on in here as an acknowledgement of your participation
in our ministries and life for the glory of God and the good of God’s people here in India too.
1.Ordination and Installation of Elders : Months ago, we were about to have it, but was postponed since
Bro.Arockiam had to leave for his native place due to a death in his close relative’s family. Month of May was
vacation and now it has been decided to have it done in the worship service of 6th
July 2013. Brothers Arockiam and
Saravanan are unanimously elected by the members of our church already and we look forward to the Ordination and
Installation of the Elders. Please pray for that.
a. Bro.Arockiam is from a Roman Catholic Background and he has been an active member of our church over
a period of 6 years. He loves the Lord and His Truth revealed and being taught from the Reformed perspective. He
has heart for the poor and needy, especially he regularly visits the children in our orphanage. He is also good in
giving counseling to the people in need. He is certainly a gifted man and we do than God for him.
b. Bro.Saravanan is from a staunch Hindu Family background. Saravanan’s father had a Christian friend, a
British, who was living close to his farm long ago. Hence his family has had kind of acquaintance with Christians and
so his conversion to Christian Faith and his commitment to being an active leader with the village outreaches were
not much opposed. Presently, he is very active with the village outreaches and he plays the leadership role while our
church elders and volunteers work along with him in reaching the people in the nearby villages. He is a man with
heart for mission, though his lack of educational qualification keeps him behind the scene he is a man of action.
Certainly we are blessed to have him. Please pray for these two men, chosen for the office of the Elder of our church.
2. Theological Training for Men: Firstly, we wish to thank you for your support towards our Sola Gratia Bible Study
Program, designed to introduce Reformed Faith to any Christian, in the years past. Now we have slightly modified
this Bible Study Program, in such way to train men those who are desirous of taking the leadership position in village
outreaches. As of now, there are about 8 people regularly join in the classes that we organize for one day in a month
(normally the second Monday of every month). Now we are in the process of making it two days in a month.
Presently there are four men who have expressed desire to be trained by us in a systematic way so that they may be
better equipped for the works of mission. We wish to train them in such a way that they might work in partnership
and fellowship with our churches. Please pray for this effort. The picture below, taken in the seminar on Reformed
Church Government, may show us those 3 of 4 men those who are desirous of learning more of the Reformed Faith,
Doctrine and Church Government with view to work along with us. We seek further instruction to train them in the
Faith and Practice of the Reformed Heritage in the days to come.
3. Village Outreaches : We are very thankful to God for giving us the needed grace and protection as we minister to
the people in our village outreaches. As of now, we stopped going to Kamatchiammanpet village and Melvilachoor
villages, as there we experienced opposition continuously. We still have the opening to reach out the people in
Kammarajapalayam village wherein we still have some opposition, yet we have opportunity to serve. The people
group in Ramalai, Anju Nagar, Anna Nagar and Tholloor village is becoming stronger in their faith. We also have a
opening in a village called Kattupudi. Brethren Praveen, Phinehas, Elavarasan, Karunas and Jeremiah help in reaching
out these villages under the leadership of Elder Elect Saravanan and Deacon Prem Kumar. Once a while I too visit the
villages. There has been a moderate increase in the cost of transportation and travel fare, hence it is sought to
increase the amount of support for the village outreaches.
4. Men for Fulltime Mission work: God has been working in the hearts of men and they strive to learn and seek God’s
will to be involved in the works of mission full time. As of now, Bro.Praveen, Bro.Jeremiah, Bro.Daniel and
Bro.Karunas have expressed desire to become full time mission workers. Indeed, there has been a great need for such
full time mission workers in our village outreach and as well as in Vellore town too. Training and appointing men in
our village outreaches will only enable us to have the group grow more in the faith and the group would eventually
become a church as the Lord blesses the labor. We have been praying for the right men to take the leadership in the
villages and now we have the men with heart for mission as an answer for our prayers. Kindly pray and advise us how
best we can use them in our mission field for the spiritual growth of the people in our mission field, which includes
two churches in the Vellore city and four house churches in the nearby villages.
5. Vacation Bible School Program: Firstly, we wish to thank you for your
support in the past years towards this program and this has been a great
blessing for all the children in our village outreaches. We are thankful to
God for our church members and volunteers who assisted with this
program during the summer vacation. I could not be able to be with all
the VBS centers except the one with our church and children home. The
leaders of our English Church also participated in the VBS Program this
year and it was very good. Hence this VBS took place in four different
places and about 400 children were reached and were taught with various Bible Stories and Scripture. Indeed, it was
bit expensive to conduct this program due to various practical reasons. We seek your help to meet the needs of this
VBS Programs this year too. (Left to right, fm Top to bottom… Ramalai, Tholloor, Anju Nagar and Vellore)
6. Free Tutor Programs: We are thankful for your support in the past years towards this Free Tutor Programs that
place in 3 of our mission fields (Ramalai, Tholloor, Anju Nagar and Anna Nagar). We also wish to expand this program
to 3 more villages wherein we have our mission outreaches or our church members are willing to do such similar
programs with view to reach out to the children and so their parents eventually. Kindly consider your support for this
ministry of education for the welfare of the children in our existing mission fields and couple new fields too.
7. Place of Worship: The place wherein we meet is OK and good as it is located near the bus stop and the people do
come to this place without much difficulty. But these days the house owner tend to use the hall for political meetings
every now and then, at times on Sunday morning too. This has been a kind of disturbance for our worship services.
Hence the leaders of our church have strongly recommended to shift the place of our worship to another place
wherein we were already meeting for our worship services four years ago. This building is located between our Grace
Foster Home and our residence. In fact, this is the building in which we had organized our Reformed Church
Government Seminar in Jan 2013. Though this move would cost additional expenditure, we proceed to move to the
other place to have our worship service and other ecclesiastical activities, beginning from the first week of July 2013.
This shifting issue can be fixed when we have our own church building. Please pray.
8. Building Needs for Church and Orphanage: Both the church worship and the orphanage are functioning in rented
buildings despite several changes. Yet, we are thankful to God for the freedom of worship in rented buildings and the
freedom to serve and lead the orphans in the ways of the Lord. We continue to pray and seek God’s help with regard
to the building needs both for our church and our orphanage. As we are often forced to shift our place of worship the
desire to have our own church building is growing day by day. The members of our church continue to extend their
love gifts and contributions towards the needs of the church building. We seek the help of fellow Reformed Christian
Saints who may be willing to participate in this glorious need for Church Building.
8. Land / Property Development: The Eden Property (about 2 acres in size) has been considered to be a best place
wherein we can have our church building and other building facilities to house the orphans of Grace Forster Home,
facilities to train men for ministry, Parsonage and etc. Recently we put a fencing around (supported by Life World
Trust Volunteers) and we planted some tree saplings. We seek additional help from people who may be willing to
contribute their love gifts towards the development of the property. A multi purpose building has been constructed
with the help of 60% from Life World Trust, 20% from donation from the VIT University students and 20% from our
close friends and church members. Here we wish to thank both the Heritage Christian School of PRCA for their
contribution and GPRC Orphanage Committee & Ms.Hope Start for channeling with which a water storage has been
constructed on the property for various uses. At time children use it as their swimming pool. Thank you for your
prayers and participation. Few pictures are enclosed here for your notice….
