SPRING 2018 Blake Sandy is finding new ways to win the prize for Pathways’ patients like his mom, Norma. Blake was so inspired by the incredible care and comfort Pathways provided to his mother in 2005 and 2006 that he wants to be certain that the same nurturing care is available for everyone. Norma taught Blake from a young age that giving back is a vital part of a full life. While he gives generous donations, it is the many ways he participates that are so impressive. Blake submits his eligible gifts for a match by his Silicon Valley tech employer. After including us in his estate plan, Blake joined our Legacy Society. He volunteered at our Links to the Heart Golf Tournament and was struck, not by a golf ball, thankfully, but by another way to celebrate his mom’s infectious spirit and inspire others to join him in making a difference for Pathways patients. He sponsors a cash prize Hole-in-One at the golf tournament in memory of his mom! So look for the Norma J. Sandy Hole-in-One at the Stanford Golf Course on July 16th. Pathways is very grateful to individuals who have made estate gifts that ensure essential services are available for our patients and families for many years to come. These gifts represent an abiding belief in the value of the care Pathways provides. The donations come as bequests in wills and trusts, and through IRA’s and other retirement plans.
