Senior ProjectReflection Posts – Overview and Prompts

Introduction

Reflecting is one of the most important parts of the learning process. It allows learners to look back at what they have experienced and make meaning out of the knowledge they haveconstructed. It also provides the learner with a snapshot of their mindset at the time of thereflection. It is for these reasons that you are going to write several reflections as part of yourSenior Project course. Each of the reflections will key in on a different aspect of your learningexperience. Please pay close attention to the details below.

Reflection Requirements Here are the requirements for each of the reflection posts:

1. Each reflection must be between 200-250 words.

2. Each reflection must address all parts of the prompt(s) for that post.3. Please refer to the course calendar to know when the reflections are due.

Reflection Post TopicsThe following is a list of the prompts that are going to be used in this course. Each prompt isnumbered so that you can look at the calendar and know when it is due. Please take the time toread the prompt closely and to brainstorm a response. You may also want to write the post in

Microsoft Word or Google Docs before placing the text in your website. Here are the topics:

Reflection #1: Initial Thoughts

1. What are your initial thoughts about Senior Project and the idea that you mightgraduate soon?

2. Which Senior Project requirement do you feel will be the most difficult? Whichrequirement do you feel will be the easiest? Why?

Reflection #2: Career Documents

1. Now that you have completed the career section of the course, how prepared do you feelto look for a career in the future?

2. Describe your thoughts on the importance of turning in career documents that are free oferrors and mistakes. Why is it important to proofread your materials before submittingthem to a potential employer?

Reflection #3: College Research

1. What caused you to choose the school that you selected for the college researchassignment?

2. Do you feel college is an important part of your future? Do you feel you will be able toachieve your life goals without some form of education after high school?
