We, as pre-service teachers, find important to learn the ways that most of our

students learn and study. Teachers must take into account the different styles their

students have at the moment of learning. Thus, they can provide different strategies to

get an effective class and most important an effective deliver of the knowledge.

In this unit we learnt the difference between learning style and learning strategy.

In addition to this, it is important that teachers know the metacognitive process of their

students and not only worry about the cognitive process. Students must be aware of the

way they learn so they can choose the strategy that suits them better and teachers must

guide them in that process. Moreover, we compare two authors’ opinion which was

useful to know the different opinions they had about how they classified strategies.
