Yvonne served as my Executive Assistant. She was always very well dressed, attentive, and helpful. It was a busy office. We edited a journal forBlackwell publishing, which Yvonne handled very professionally. This included making the arrangements for books to be sent from the publishers, seriding the book out for review, receiving the copy in, sending the completed copy to Blackwell, and then coordinating the proofs. She was also responsible for all my scheduling, adjunct professor contracts, organizing conferences, retreats, and special events. She did all these tasks with exceptional competence and attention to detail. During my six years I became very dependent on Yvonne. She knew exactly where the files were; she kept the details of my various writing projects; and she reminded me when a person was about to come and see me. She did all this work, whilst getting her BA and starting work on a Masters. She is not afraid of hard work. And I am now moving to Virginia to serve as the Dean and President of Virginia Theological Seminary. Re: Recommendation for Yvonne Bowen

I have had the privilege of working with Yvonne for the last five years. She isan exceptionally good Executive Assistant. Her duties in a busy office havebeen very wide ranging: they include management and coordination of ajournal, grant management (including the budget),book coordination includingliaison with publishers, supervision of the adjunct professors, supporting thevarious certificate programs as needed, as well as all the day to day dutiesinvolved in managing my office. She is conscientious; her appearance is alwaysprofessional and impeccable; she coordinates the various demands of herposition extremely well. Every day is different and she handles such varietywith the ease of a professional.

She has assisted the Black Ministries Certificate Program, in times of stafftransition doing admissions, correspondence, phones and other duties asneeded. As a graduate of the program she has a deep commitment to itscontinued success and works diligently to preserve it by assisting with itscoordination whenever opportunity presents itself.

I understand that Yvonne is interested in finding a challenging position, whichcan reward her for her skills. I have enjoyed working with Yvonne; I amconfident that others will in the future.

To whom it may concern:

It is a pleasure to write this letter about one who has helped my businessimmensely. Yvonne Bowen has provided my business with Graphics Designs, typesetting and media public relation services. She is a self-starter, prompt highlycapable and provides a high quality work. She works well with in the team workapproach. She needs little to no supervision and relates well with others. Again, Iwish that I could find many more like her.
