To Whom It May Concern,

Tom Parker joined Lear’s internship program in July 2015 for a period of 10 weeks.

During this time he was allocated to a development team in the final stages of product launch for a new Jaguar Land rover seating project.

Principally within this team Tom was requested to support various build, customer root cause and problem solving activities. Following successful integration into the team and showing key skills and attitude he was given increased responsibilities with reduced management supervision.

One key project of note during this time was the optimisation of the spring forces on a self folding rear seat back to address functional concerns due to component and trim variation in build. Resolution of this problem was critical to ensure continued build and customer supply and reflected the level of confidence and trust given to Tom during his period at Lear. Ultimately the technical resolution defined and trialled by him was used as the final permanent solution.

Throughout his time at Lear, Tom conducted himself in very professional manner, taking a very structured and methodical approach to this trouble shooting activities. A very personable individual with a keen interest in learning and a professional attitude to all duties undertaken, based upon our experience at Lear I would have no concerns about recommending him for other roles.

Yours Sincerely,

Alex Taylor
