Designed for the transportation of passengers, vehicles and goods. The design is keenly focused on passenger safety. It is also extremely reliable, featuring a robust and redundant propulsion train. Built in Yichang Shipyard in Hubei Province, China. The 75 by 32 metre Crane Barge will replace a 77-year old crane still in operation and includes full-scale electrical engineering services from Van der Leun China including the ECR console, transformers and cable delivery. Following construction, the new Crane Barge 7532 will be outfitted with a crane at Huisman’s Zhangzhou facility, giving it the capability to lift 625 tonnes at 25 metres.

This controls the mechanically driven dredging pump, PTOs and the propellers without overloading the dual-fuel engines.

Gulliver has a total length of 121 m and weight of 14,500 mt. It was transported by OHT from Hongkong to Rotterdam, The Netherlands during December 2017.

As part of this JB-117 project, Van Der Leun China took care of the project management, electrical engineering, automation of the Jacking Control System, Emergency Shut Down system and commissioning. The JB-117 is a MSC SEA-3250 self-elevating unit and built in 2011. It’s registered with ABS. The leg length is 80 mtr and has a maximum pay load of 2,000 tons and in addition has a crane capacity of 1,000 tons.

Changjiangkou 1 and 2 are self-sailing trailing suction hopper dredgers with a capacity of 12000m3 and are the main vessels for dredging and maintenance of deep water channels at the mouth of the Yangtze River, helping the 12.5-meter deep waterway creating huge economic benefits. Van Der Leun China delivered a complete electrical system integration project on the Chiang Jiang Kou 1 and 2 hopper dredger 12000m3 which included on-site building supervision and maintenance.
