Going forward to a data base• Going from a data sheet to a data base is

difficult– custom and practice on the use of data sheets– people know what the fields are used for

• A data base splits a data sheet into:– relationships between objects– properties of objectswhich do not have the context of a particular data sheet

• If we refurbish:– what were requirement on the new pump – which are still

important– what was information about the old pump – which changes
