TANZANIA ISRAEL BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT FORUM (TIBIF) 2014 As one of the ten fastest growing economies in the world, Tanzania continues to draw the attention of investors globally and is seen as a golden beach of investment opportunities. Countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and China continue to invest heavily and are aggressively vying for business within various sectors in the country. Tanzania’s economy has been growing steadily at rates averaging 6% year for the past 10 years with the economy having expanded by 6.9% in 2012. Majority of the top business leaders believe that the economy is performing far better in 2013 than in 2012 and remain very positive about the prospects for 2014-5, as revealed by a recent World Bank/KPMG survey. In view of this background of progress, the Kingdom Leadership Network Tanzania (KLNT), a network consisting of leaders and key decision makers in the country, has decided to convene the “Tanzania-Israel Business Investment Forum (TIBIF) 2014” in Dar es Salaam from March 17th – 20th 2014 in Partnership with Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) and Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF);with the objective of enhancing cooperation between foreign investors with particular reference between Israel related businesses and local Tanzanian enterprises. This session is unprecedented and will be the first business Investment forum of its kind in the country to focus on developing economic and scientific relationships with Israel. The forum intends to foster strategic alliances and solid business partnerships between private Small and Medium scale businesses from Israel and Tanzania and other countries. A UNIQUE FORUM It is intended that the event will rise above being a mere conference. The “Tanzania-Israel Business Investment Forum (TIBIF) 2014” is supposed to foster business activity aimed at facilitating and promoting matching and cooperation between investors and fast-growing companies based in Tanzania, Israel and other countries. It is revolutionary due to the following advantages: 1. A PROFESSIONAL FORUM The Forum will engage business investment institutions operating in the following areas: Agriculture, Mining, Financial services, Education, Infrastructure (Roads, Water), Construction/Property/Housing, Energy, Technology, Bioengineering, Manufacturing, Medicine/Health, Chemical Engineering, Retailing, Tourism, Communications, Computing, Textile and Apparel. Participants of the meeting will be fast-growing companies including PE and VC investors. Priority will be given to institutions involved in the above-mentioned areas. The event is designed primarily to facilitate investment and bilateral cooperation. 2. BUSINESS TO BUSINESS (B2B) SESSIONS The Kingdom Leadership Network Tanzania, as part of its role to develop strategic relationships that promote and catalyze transformation and the removal of systemic poverty in Tanzania is organizing business to business and Government to Business sessions to promote investment and business partnerships between Israeli and Tanzania companies and institutions. Working very closely with our partners Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) and the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), the sessions are intended to take place every day after the Forum workshops and panels from 1400 hours to 1700 hours. The sessions are aimed at matching investor desires and needs with local companies and will be a unique opportunity to forge new relationships, develop joint venture prospects, new agency relationships and the potential for the exchange of new ideas.

Page 3: REF: OFFICIAL INVITATION LETTER FOR TANZANIA … Letter for TIBIF... · Companies will be drawn from a blue chip list of ... National Export Development Strategy, the Trade Integration

Local companies are being registered, screened and selected from a pool of known and credible companies seeking serious discussion with Investors. Companies will be drawn from a blue chip list of enterprises currently under the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) and Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) membership pool and other partners. Member organizations that form part of that pool include companies registered under the Confederation of Tanzania Industries(CTI), Tanzania National Business Council(TNBC), Agriculture Council of Tanzania(ACT) and the East Africa Business Council to mention a few. Through a process of qualified matchmaking, it is our hope that these B2B sessions will develop tangible business relationships that will create employment opportunities, increase incomes for locals and have a visible developmental impact in the spirit of alleviating systemic poverty. Selected companies will have pre-arranged, private bilateral meetings on a one-to-one basis where they will be presented with the opportunity for a 15-minutes independent presentation with Q&A from prospects’ delegates. The objective is to enter into real dialogue and practical discussion with decision-makers in order to make that decisive first step into the Israeli opportunity through this exclusive event! Companies from the following priority sectors will be covered: Agriculture, Health, Education, Technology/Innovation, Financial services, Infrastructure (Roads, Water), Property/Housing, Energy, Bioengineering, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, Retailing, Tourism, Communications, Computing, Textile and Apparel to mention a few. PROFILE OF COMPANIES AND PROJECTS TO BE REPRESENTED Our pool of companies, as earlier mentioned, is drawn from the enviable databases of KLNT and our partnership institutions namely TIC and TPSF and others listed below. The databases house reputable and leading companies in the country along with respectable SME organizations. The final compilation of short-listed companies will be shared in a timely manner to ensure that investors are able to set meeting appointments with the prospective local companies. The list will include a short brief on the identified companies along with the key contact person to facilitate interaction between both parties. 3. Sufficient clientele As a leading organization of local leadership personalities and businessmen, KLNT enjoys favourable relationships with the local and central governments at different levels.
