Close by is the Punch Bowl and Ladle Inn at Penelewey along with general stores at both Playing Place and Carnon Downs where there is also a doctor’s and dentist surgeries. The National Trust owned Treliske House Estate is about two miles away with beautiful riverside walks and an excellent café. For those interested in sailing, Loe Beach at Feock is also only about two miles away which not tidally effected, and one can launch craft here as well as find swinging moorings, a sailing school, hire facilities and a café. Truro and Falmouth are both within easy driving distance, between them offering the largest array of facilities in Cornwall.
