participation in fitness and health activities are cost and a lack of supportive facilities for physical fitness.

The Y’s Annual Giving Campaign

The YMCA is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, community building charity, that strives to make its programs widely affordable and accessible through the YMCA Spirit Program.

Contributions to the YMCA ensure access for all who wish to participate in Y programs and services.

The campaign provided over $5 million dollars in financial assistance to over 10,000 unique individuals and families located throughout the city of Louisville.

The YMCA of the USA is designated as “A” rated by the American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), one of only two national human services charities to receive this rating.

Four retrofitted stores located in Louisville, with four more to come in 2011.

Store owners are provided with bins and refrigerators for storage of fresh produce.

Signs and containers are located in a store’s front area.
