This course explores robberies of all types, outlining goals and motivations of the robbers which directly affect the tactics used in the robbery. The realities of resistance and the probable outcomes for certain courses of action are discussed. The course also Save

50%discusses preventive measures, common myths, and what your immediate response should be if you are involved or have been the victim of a robbery. Police response and investigation is outlined and recommendations are made to teach how to be the best witness possible, in addition to surviving the incident. Finally observation skills are emphasized and observation skill assessments are conducted using brief video clips. Once this course is completed, an individual will have an understanding of the types and myths of armed robbery; while being able to demonstrate new skills such as observation practices and post robbery procedure exercises.

This course provides verbal and nonverbal tools with which to handle confrontational exchanges with agitated people. These tools help individuals by increasing their ability to de-escalate hostile confrontations when they are encountered. The course offers practical advice regarding environment, demeanor, attitude, speech and limitations to be considered when dealing with these types of situations. Individuals who take this course feel more self-confident in handling such situations with the understanding of how they develop and how they can get out of control. They will also learn to prevent the incident from becoming personal and therefore more emotionally charged. Once this course is completed, an individual can expect to better understand the dynamics of a confrontation, underlying factors and more while knowing how to use new tools like verbal de-escalation techniques.

This course examines truck hijackings and the tactics used by robbers. The course teaches individuals effective, preventative safety security measures and how to avoid a truck hijacking from taking place. Individuals are provided with an understanding in how to react and what appropriate actions to take following an incident in the event that a truck hijacking occurs. Once this course is completed, an individual will have the ability to understand a robber’s goals and motives as well as required communications between the driver and dispatcher. They will also better understand how to use technology to enhance en route security, understand truck hijacking prevention and myths of armed robbery.
