Redlands Primary School & Nursery already had a website in place before they first spoke to Webanywhere four years ago. However, what they needed was a website that was easy to add content to and update, and had more interesting features for visitors.

“I was looking for new software but they were all very complicated to use,” says the school’s Website Administrator, Patricia White.

Webanywhere’s School Jotter ticked all the boxes. “We wanted more than our existing website could offer; multiple users and a virtual tour were two of the main advantages at that time,” says Patricia about discovering Webanywhere’s portfolio of School Jotter sites. And after a very easy set-up process, the new Redlands Primary & Nursery School website was created. It’s regularly updated, and it’s full of information for both parents and new visitors alike.

Parents, particularly, have benefitted from Redlands switching to School Jotter, with Patricia now able to update their site easily with the school meals menu, term dates and news. There’s also the newsletter feature, which has proved particularly popular. “115 of our parents have signed up to the electronic newsletter and enjoy regular updates this way,” says Patricia. “It was a superb way of reaching parents during the heavy snowfall last year. I was able to put updates on all through the day.”

Parents of potential new pupils find plenty of information about the school, the pupils and the activities too - and for those who don’t have English as their first language, the website makes Redlands school feel particularly welcoming.

“Parents with children with English as an additional language are drawn to the website on their very first visit as Google Translate not only translates the site, but all school documents too. Their transition into school is made far easier.”

Redlands School’s experience of using School Jotter over the past four years has prompted Patricia to recommend it to others. “I’ve already recommended a local school who asked us about our provider,” she says. “I find it very easy to use.”
