Guru Parab (Nov 11)
It was the 550th birth Anniversary of Shri
Guru Nanak Devji for which students of
classes III -V assembled in the
Amphitheatre. After the usual chanting of
Gayatri mantra and morning prayer,
Aparna Singh ma’am briefly introduced the
occasion and quizzed the students on
Babaji’s birth place and Sikhism. Akshita, IIC
gave a short speech on the life and
teachings of Guru Nanak Devji. Pahulpreet, IIIB was impressive in his narration of
the story in which the owner of the field was surprised to see it greener and full of
crop even after the cattle taken there for grazing by Guru Nanak Devji had damaged
it. Harsh Goyal IIC sang ‘Jai Jai Guru Dev Pyare’. Students of Pre-Primary Wing
presented ‘Ik Onkar’ and ‘Prabhat Pheri’. The assembly was graced by Principal
M’m.

Children’s Day (November 18)
Red Roses Public School celebrated
Children’s Day with much enthusiasm.
A fete was organized for all the
students to rejoice this day in the
school playground. Brightly dressed
in colorful casual clothes, students of
classes Nursery to V added to the
vibrancy of the atmosphere with their
shining headbands and beaming
smiles.
Time slots were allotted to different
classes to take rides on Merry-go-round,
Mickey Mouse and Jungle Safari; play
lucky dip, lucky 7, hoopla, picking the
bangles, rolling the ball, coin hunt, at the
game stalls with loads of exciting prizes

for the winners; and enjoy the home-
made delicacies like ‘bhel puri’, ‘pasta’,
‘chaatpapri’ and ‘golgappas’ brought by
students of primary section and their
teachers under ‘earn and learn’ scheme.
The ‘tatoo’ stall had long queues of
children wanting to get colorful artistic
designing done on their cheeks and arms.
Though the fete ended at 2 p.m., it was a
wonderful day full of entertainment and
fun that left children wanting for still more!

Cleanliness Drive (Oct. 25-31)
Eco-Club of our school organized a cleanliness drive to promote the Swachh Bharat
mission with the aim to ensure cleanliness in the surroundings. Class IXC students
participated in the drive enthusiastically. They divided themselves for different
locations within the school and picked up the scattered waste paper and wrappers
and threw these into the dustbins. It played an important part in
inculcating values of cleanliness among children.
Samvidhan Diwas (November 26)
Special assembly was conducted in our school on the occasion of Constitution Day. It marked the 70th anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution. Besides reading aloud of the Preamble, and explanation of the ideals, students, guided by their Social Science teacher, made a presentation on the fundamental duties for every citizen. Students were told about the significance of this day by Sumana Mitra Das, HOD Social Science.

TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS (Nov. 30)
A Frolicsome day at Aapno Ghar
An excursion is not
just a pleasure trip,
it is an extension of
the classroom
where children
enhance their
aesthetic and leisure
skills. So, keeping
this in mind,
students of classes I
& II were taken to
Aapno Ghar,
located on NH 8 Delhi- Jaipur Expressway. The ride to Aapno Ghar in deluxe buses
was a breeze as we reached the place in an hour’s time.
Children were welcomed to a hot and
delicious breakfast comprising of puri,
aloo bhaji, poha and halwa. Thereafter,
they enjoyed rides on the Flying Bob and
Toy Train. Activities like the Burma
bridge, Rope Bridge, Trampoline, Bullet
Shot and Dart helped in enhancing their
physical skills. Gol gappa, tikki, jalebis,
pakoras, rabri and tea was served
throughout the day. Besides, a
sumptuous lunch comprising of shahi
paneer, rajma rice, aloo subzi, noodles,
raita, butter naan, sewaiyan, papad was
relished by the children to the fullest.
Nimbu paani and ‘chhaach’ were enjoyed too! Magic show, puppet show, pottery
and dancing to the tune of the DJ made their day. And then it was time to say
goodbye! The excursion helped in providing the children with an exciting, enjoyable
and educational experience and adventure and gave many memorable moments to
cherish.

Kidzania
161 students of classes III-V
accompanied by their
teachers had an enjoyable
day out at Kidzania – the
Global Indoor Theme Park.
They gained real experience
of various life skills in a
playful manner trying their
hand at various occupations
like nursing, baking, Dunkin’s
Donuts, CNG Station, Ice
Candy factory, pottery and
theatre apart from enjoying
the food and refreshment at both entry and exit points. Students alo received
‘Thank You’ gifts. Having had a wonderful outing, they expressed their desire to visit
the place again in the coming session.

Excursion to Fun and Food Village
246 students of classes
VI- VIII accompanied by
12 teachers went for a
picnic to “Fun and Food
Village. They reached
the destination at 11 o’
clock. Then began the
nonstop fun with rides
on Columbus, Snow
Blaster and Giant wheel.
Mouthwatering lunch
was served to the
students. After that,
students resumed the
fun activities. They
enjoyed water rides too
which were truly
amazing. At 4 :30 p.m. ,
they boarded the buses
to return to school. It was
truly a memorable picnic
which they would cherish
forever.

Excursions in school life play a very important role in students’ development. It
takes them away from the busy schedule of the class rooms and gives them a
chance to get an enriching experience. 140 students of classes IX and X were taken
to ‘Lohagarh Farms’ to witness the rural and cultural heritage in the scenic foothills
of Aravali range.

It took nearly one
and a half hour to
reach there.
Everyone was
welcomed with
the dhol beats
and tilak. They
were divided into
groups, each
under an
instructor. First,
they were treated
to a delicious breakfast of jalebis, pakoras, pooris, paranthas, curd, pickle, halwa
and tea. Thereafter, they enjoyed different activities ranging from games and
sports, rural and adventure activities, and team building activities.
Special attractions were
haunted house, wax
museum, puppet show
and magic show. Camel
and tractor ride, mehndi,
mud bath, tube well bath,
charkha, chakki and
pottery making were
thoroughly enjoyed. Tug of
war between boys and
girls was full of
excitement. Instructors
took the students to the spider web, stepping stone, plank walk and Burma bridge.
Lunch, that had a variety of dishes from paneer, rajma, rice, dal and kadhi, and
separate section of ‘Mitti ka Choolah’ which served Saag -makki ki roti, bajre ki roti
with white butter ghee, jaggery etc. was greatly relished by everyone.
Students also had fun time at DJ, dancing to the beats of several Hindi and regional
songs. Finally, it was time to return. It was a day full of fun, a perfect treat for
unwinding and experiencing genuine rural cultural exuberance. Thanks to Principal
Ma’am for giving this wonderful opportunity to visit this fantastic place.

• Avnee Rawat XI, struck double Gold in 1500m and 800m at CBSE National
level, held at Ranchi, breaking the record in 1500m by clocking 4 minutes 54
seconds. She is also selected for participation in ‘Khelo India’ on the basis of
this achievement.
• Manav Rawat won Silver medal in CBSE National Boxing championship held
at Mahedragarh in Haryana. Devesh Mishra participated at national level
having previously won II position in CBSE championship.
• Priya Sejwal IXA won V position in CBSE Shooting Championship and
participated at National level held at Karnal.
• G. Vighnesh Iyer, VIIIC won Bronze in in 1st STAI India Open International
Taekwondo Championship 2019 held at Talkatora Stadium

The students
celebrated the 550th
birthday of Guru
Nanak Devji by
promising to imbibe his teachings of unity and equality. The students took out a
‘prabhat pheri’ and learnt about his life as well as the" Panj Pyaras". They also learnt
how to conduct themselves while visiting a Gurudwara. The Pre-School students
made the symbol of Sikhism known as ‘Khanda’ meaning double edged sword. The
Pre Primary students made 5K's of Sikhs - Kesh, Kara, Kanga, Kachera and Kirpan.
Children's Day ( Nov. 14)
Children's Day, a
day marking
childhood, was
celebrated with
enthusiasm.
A grand Carnival
was organized for
the students at
Saket. Dressed like
charming princes
and princesses,
beaming with wide smiles and wearing glittering crowns that were decorated by

them, they enjoyed a number of rides like car, dragon, giant wheel, bungee jumping
to name a few. They also relished mouth- watering refreshment.
The day was full of excitement, joy and was an unforgettable experience for the
students.
Picnic to Kidzania (Nov 30)
'The best way of learning about anything
is by doing'. Keeping this in mind, an
excursion to Kidzania was organized.
Kidzania is a theme park that empowers,
inspires and educates kids through real
life role play activities. On the way to
Kidzania, students relished having
Chocopie, chips and Frooti.
The students were ready to take up any
challenge that came their way to earn
kidzos. It provided firsthand experience
of different occupations that they could
explore. Students enjoyed mini set ups
for dominos, petrol pump, big bazaar
and salons. They were exposed to many
activities like nursing, policing, acting, baking,
working of fire station, courier delivery etc.
The enjoyed the delicious food served there.
All these activities helped students to
stimulate their creative thinking, boost self-
confidence, learn real life values, social skills
and team work.

Eid e Milad (Nov. 8)
Birthday of Prophet Muhammad is celebrated
as ‘Eid-e-Milad’. NEEV organized a special
assembly in which Aafiya Siddiqui of class V
recited ‘Aayatein’ . She also explained that
though the celebration is a happy occasion,
but it is also a day of mourning due to the fact
that the Prophet passed away on the same
day i.e. the 12th day of ‘Rabi-ul Awwal’. He
was the messenger of God sent on the Earth
to spread the message of peace and harmony.
Students of NEEV took a pledge to always
maintain peace and make this world a better
place to live in.
Gurpurab Celebration (Nov. 11)
Neev celebrated the 550th birth
anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji by
organizing a special assembly.
Impressively dressed in kurta-
pyjama, students presented
Gurbani and also took out a
‘Prabhat feri’ in the adjoining area
of the school. Teachers enlightened
the students about his life and
teachings and also narrated some
interesting stories from his life.

Children’s Day (Nov. 18)
“There is no garden as beautiful as
Childhood”.
Every child is a different kind of
flower; together they make this
world a beautiful garden.
Hence, Children’s Day was
celebrated to make it a day full of fun
and enjoyable learning. This time, a
puppet show was presented by the
teachers on benefits of healthy food
and bad effects of junk food.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the show and went back home with a new mindset to
have more of nutritious food and avoid fast foods.
Distribution of Face Mask (Nov. 23)
Due to stubble burning in adjoining states
of Delhi that has caused pollution levels to
rise, students and helper staff were
distributed facemasks to provide relief in
breathing.
