Principal’s Report: Athletics Day:
The Red Cliffs Primary
School Athletics Carnival
will be held next
Wednesday, 17th
September.
All students will participate
in a variety of athletic
events throughout the day.
The focus of the day is
participation, however,
place getters in age group
events will receive ribbons
for their efforts.
Our day starts at 9.15am.
Presentations and
announcement of Age
Group Champions will be
made at approximately
2.45pm.
It is important students
come prepared for the day-
shorts and running shoes are
recommended.
Children must have a
water bottle and a hat.
Parents/grandparents are
invited (welcome) to come
for the whole day or just an
event or two.
Sausage Sizzle:
There will be a Sausage
Sizzle next Wednesday-
Athletics Day. Students
must order their sausages
before school as usual.
Parents wanting sausages
are asked to order their
sausages with their
children's (order form sent
home today).
Parent Club members will be
cooking a number of spare
sausages but will not cook after
11.45am. Water bottles will be
on sale during the day.
Fruit:
The infant and Middle Unit
would love to receive
donations of fresh fruit to use
as Brain Food.
Parents or community
members that may have
excess home grown fruit are
asked to send it to school for
use by those students who may
otherwise miss out.
NAPLAN:
Parents of students in grades 3
and 5 are reminded Student
NAPLAN Reports are now at
school and ready to be collected.
Reports will not be sent home
with students. Parents are asked
to meet the child's teacher before
or after school to collect the
reports.
End of Term:
Term 3 ends next Friday, 19th
September, at 1.45pm.
As usual we will be conducting
special end-of-term activities
from 11.45-1.00pm. Children are
encouraged to dress in purple—
the “Resilience” colour.
2015 Enrolments:
Parents and community
members are reminded that
enrolments for the 2015 School
year are now being accepted.
Parents of children eligible to
enrol in Prep next year are asked
to contact me as soon as possible
to arrange an interview and tour
of the school.
Parents with neighbours/relatives
with children eligible to enrol
next year are asked to pass this
message on.

As part of Athletics Day,
Parents Club will be
running a sausage sizzle
on Wednesday 17th
between 11am-11.40am.
A sausage on bread can
be purchased for $1.50.
Bottled water will be on
sale for $1.00.
A coffee van has been
arranged for the day.
Swimming School:
The First Stroke Swim
School, located in Red
Cliffs is looking to con-
duct Learn to Swim clas-
ses each evening.
Interested parents should
leave their details in the
office.

Grades 5 & 6 used Zentangle patterns to create
their Abstract Design. Scratch Art paper for
patterned bird was used in their Calendar Cov-
er and mixed media to create city scape.
