1. Open SMART Notebook software.
2. Click on options icon to customize the toolbar.
3. Select SMART recorder icon.
4. Drag icon to toolbar.

1. Open new or existing SMART Notebook file.
2. Click on the recorder icon to open the recorder window.

1. Open the menu in the recorder window.
2. Open the options the menu window.
3. Open the video format in the options window.
4. Select Windows Media Video Files (.wmv) for students to be able to view the file on their computer.

1. Click on arrow beside record button for recording options.
2. Select record area from the menu.
