Reconfigurable Wireless Measurement System (RWMS) Precision Sensing, Measurement and Controls The Reconfigurable Wireless Measurement System (RWMS) is a small, rugged, and highly flexible wireless data acquisition (DAQ) and stimulation system equipped with real-time Time Space Position Information (TSPI) measurement capability that will enable the rapid deployment of Unmanned Autonomous Systems (UAS) by accelerating their test development. In contrast to one-of-a-kind legacy systems, the RWMS provides the key enabling attribute of flexibility via a three-tiered modular approach built upon a reconfigurable fabric- based (FPGA) processing architecture. RWMS accelerates the testing and deployment of UAS’s by providing a configurable computational architecture with a flexible and bidirectional interface to the UAS. RWMS was designed to support the testing of UAS at the Future Combat Systems Test Range at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR).

As a baseline, RWMS will provide independent real-time measurements of the UAS kinematics including TSPI. RWMS can also:

(1) Interface to sensors and payloads on the host UAS's for independent data collection and verification

(2) Present stimulation inputs to the UAS's to trigger UAS decisions and behavior

(3) Emulate UAS behavior / decisions to test / verify UAS autonomy / interoperability

(4) Provide safety test control and facilitate autonomy testing
