Whi le l a l l four of t hesecases eventual ly found : the i r way to a " v o t e - m a ~ i m ~ z i n g "   s t r a t egy ,each par ty undertook a r a t h e r d i f f e r e n t journeyl The Spani sh PSOEand th e Swedish SAP a d j ~ s t e d   t h e i r pol icy pos i t ior ts and e lec to ra ls t r a t egy r e l a t i v e l y smoothly and with little i n t r a -pa r t y tu rmoi l .
