must be rebuilt as part of preparatory work.Haut Saint-Pierre collector sewer� Advanced deterioration of the section running under the rue Saint-

Jacques overpass.� Impossible to reinforce it, except in localized zones

BackgroundHaut Saint-Pierre collector sewer� Infrastructure belongs to the City of Montréal built in 1930� Conveys wastewater (rainwater and domestic water)� Serves 140 000 households� Is located at a depth of 30 metres under rue Saint-Jacques� Inside dimensions of 3 metres by 4 metres, shaped like a

horse-shoe� Volume of 40 m3/s during heavy rains
