Human Leukocyte Antigen B27 is a class I surface antigenencoded by the B locus in the major histocompatibility complex(MHC) that presents microbial antigens to T-Lymphocytes.The expression of HLA-B27 antigen is associated with theonset of a class of seronegative spondylo-arthropathies that

include ankylosing spondylitis, Reiters disease, psoriaticarthritis and inammatory bowel disease.

The ReaPan B27 reagent uses a two-color immunouorescencebased method for detecting HLA-B27 antigen on a owcytometry platform. The reagent is provided in a unitizeddry format containing predispensed amounts of materialadequate for a single test.. This reagent is intended for use onopen ow cytometer systems .

Qualitative test results are reported on the basis of a RMXvalue recorded on the sample acquisition template. RMX value

is a quantication of the relative dierence in uorescentstaining intensities of the sample and the reference beads. Apositive sign on the RMX value implies that the sample testedcan be typed as positive. A negative RMX value indicates thatthe expression of the HLA-B27 antigen is not sucient forthe sample to be typed as positive.

ConvenienceProvided as a dried-down reagent in a readyto use format; Easy storage and handling.

SpecicityAnti-B7 antibody minimizes cross-reactivityof Anti-B27 antibodies with the B7 antigen lower probability of false positives.

Internal Reerence BeadsNo external calibration required;internal reference beads provided inevery tube. Makes the test robust.

Simple WorkfowLyse-no wash protocol simplies and reducessample processing time signicantly.

Ease o ReportingSign of the RMX value indicates apositive or negative result.

SensitivityGating of T-lymphocytes (CD3+) to reduce

background; Use of two clones of Anti-HLA-B27 enhances sensitivity of the test.
