Stage 1 – Directing Activities

What Do They Do?

This lesson teaches the most important words to use for directing and requesting during favorite activities Expected Outcome: The person will use specific action words to direct or describe action in activities. Purpose: To expand the person’s ability to request and direct action with specific action words.

Plants Outcome: Student will increase number of words used meaningfully.

Purpose: Give multiple reasons to use vocabulary.

Vocabulary: need make go up top plant leaf stem root water.

Lang. Skill: Accurately use words about plants to tell about them.

Objectives: The student will use a variety of nouns, verbs, and adjectives to talk about plants (add conditions, prompts, etc.)

Getting data to the computer

1. Transfer the log file from your communication device to a USB stick and upload to your computer.

2. Set up the device with a wireless network to automatically upload (necessary for iPads).

Log in to RL website

Select Add Person

• Create Individual Profile

• Add the source for the file (device name)

• Locate file and upload it to the website

• The original file will end in .txt and look strange!
