Q: What is a tax depreciation schedule?
A: Depreciation is an important part of maximising your investment returns, it allows owners of investment properties to claim annual tax deductions on items like main buildings, “common property” (in unit apartment blocks) & plant and equipment (floor coverings, kitchen appliances, curtains etc.).
Q: Why do I need a tax depreciation schedule?
If you own an investment property you could be missing out on thousands each year in allowable depreciation reducing the tax you have to pay. Schedules are prepared by qualified Quantity Survey professionals to not only ensure that all possible deductions are identified but also that ATO governing laws and requirements are met.
Q: Are your fees fully tax deductible & how long is the schedule valid for?

The current market has shown a trend towards private sales compared with auctions. Private treaty sales offer the advantage of a clearly stated price, which can be powerfully attractive to buyers. a: Contrary to popular belief, a document named “General Power of Attorney” is an enduring Power of Attorney provided it contains the proper provision about loss of capacity and where a Section? certificate of advice attached to the document has been signed by an authorized person. Q: Why do I need a will if the law says my estate will be given to who I want it to go to anyway?
a: If you die without a will (intestate), the law does dictate the order in which your relatives are entitled to your estate BUT the costs of administering an intestate estate are significantly more than if you have a will and take a lot longer to finalise. Why not make a will to save your family the added expense, delay and heartache?
Q: Why can’t we just agree on a family law property settlement between us?
a: Until there is an agreement formalized under the provisions of the Family Law Act, either party can make an application to the Family Court for a property settlement, whether or not there has been an informal settlement. The relevant assets the Court will take into account will be the assets of both parties at the time of the application to the Court NOT at the time of separation. You might think you have an agreement, acquire more assets and then face an application for a property settlement which will take into account the new assets.
