Real value of engineering studies

Many prefer engineering just for a fashionnowadays without knowing its real value. Seeengineering as a challenging profession inwhich you can succeed only if you havepassion towards it. Engineering is a stream inwhich you can apply your scientific knowledgepractically to find solutions for the problem,design or build things in the real world.

Simple equation for Engineering according tome is:-

Engineering = science + practicalknowledge + technology + reality

When you ask students

What are you going to study after 12th STD?

The answer comes from most of them is thatengineering.

But when you ask which department in that?They are not sure about, as they don't knowabout the same.

This is because we lack knowledge about thestreams available. Most of the students maybe aware of software B.E (IT/CS), B.E (Civil),Mechanical, B.E (EEE), B.E (ECE) and B.E (E&I).

But there are so many courses available. Letme list out some:-

You can get ideas and suggestions from othersbut ensure that the final decision you take isyours. It's your career and you are responsiblefor whatever decision you make. So be firmyour decision.

Understand the concept of Engineering beforeyou step into your college. Analyze whetheryou have the ability to complete the courseefficiently. This is not my advice but I amsharing my experience to make sure thatstudents take engineering only if they arepassionate towards it.

It's a sad factor that many engineeringgraduates are jobless and some of them areworking in different stream. Think over it don'twaste the money you invest on your studies.The reason behind unemployment ofengineering graduates is due to theemergence of more and more engineeringcolleges. This should be stopped in order tomake the education system proper.
