Real Carriage Door Company is an advocate of true, solid wood construction. We use old world, timber frame building techniques, utilizing stile and rail with mortise and tenon joinery. All doors are fabricated to your dimensions and specifications. Doors are constructed board by board using solid wood, therefore the interior and exterior of the door is exactly the same.
Door Designs
Craftsman - Flat or raised panels | Classic - Tongue & groove | Studio - Predominantly glass
Custom doors are designed to fit personal style and architecture. With the variety of wood species, specialty glass automatic door bottoms and other design options, each door is personally exclusive.
Form Follows Function
Carriage, folding, entry, and Dutch doors are pre-hung and offer a weather tight seal. Sliding doors, though not weather tight, are available as slabs. Pre-hung units include doors and mortised jambs that are ready for installation. We offer sidelites and transoms to coordinate. Doors may be automated or manually operated. Upon completion doors are crated and shipped raw, ready for light sanding and finishing once received.
Our designers work with architects, builders, project managers and homeowners on new construction renovations and historic projects - both residential and commercial. While we are located in the Pacific Northwest our projects can be found throughout North America, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and the Caribbean.
