Remove syringe from blister package. Visually inspect the syringe.

With both hands, hold the tube and the cap close to the seal, and twist until broken. Remove the cap of the outer packaging by pulling it straight away from the tube to avoid dislodging the plunger rod of the syringe.

Remove the syringe from the tube. Visually inspect the syringe.

Inspect the outer packaging (MicroVault™ or blister pack) to confirm the integrity of the packaging. Do not use if the outer packaging or the prefilled syringe has been damaged.

Twist off the syringe tip cap. Do not remove the plastic wrap label around the luer lock collar.

Expel air bubble(s). Adjust dose (if applicable).

Administer the dose ensuring that pressure is maintained on the plunger rod during the entire administration.

Discard the syringe into the appropriate receptacle.
