  • TOSHIBA CBCD/RADCD

    This CD contains software designed to assist in recovery andreconstruction of a PC system after a problem has occurred.It allows you to reinstall some or all of the originalsoftware delivered with the system from the factory.

    This CD may also contain software which was not preinstalledat the factory but which may be installed if desired.

    This CD may only be used on the model of PC for which it wasdesigned. It cannot be used on other models.

    The user interface for this CD should appear automaticallyafter inserting the CD into the CD-ROM drive on a Windowssystem. This user interface can guide you through the use ofthe following options:

    1. Installing individual applications2. Installing the factory system install3. Creating and installing a custom system install (for CBCD only - please see note *)

    Option 1 is recommended if a minor problem has occurred, andone or more individual software components need to bereinstalled. It can also be used to install applicationsthat are available on the CD but were not preinstalled atthe factory (if any).

    Option 2 is provided if the system is no longer bootable (orotherwise unusable), and all other attempts to restore itsusability have failed. This option will erase the hard diskcompletely and restore the original factory system install.

    Option 3 - (for CBCD only - Please see note *) is provided forsystem administrators to create a customized version of the factorysystem install.

    If the hard disk drive has been corrupted to the extent thatit is no longer bootable, it may be restored by booting fromthis CD. Booting from this CD will automatically begin thefactory system install restoration process.

    ---------Note * - If the value of CustomSystemInstall in the Install.Ini file is set to 0then this is a RADCD (Option 3 - Creating and installing a custom system installis not supported). If the value of CustomSystemInstall in the Install.Ini file isset to 1, then this is a CBCD. (Option 3 - Creating and installing a custom systeminstall is supported).
