WRITING AN ARTICLE – TEST TOMORROW Imagine something newsworthy has happened at your school. You are going to write a news article about it.
For example –
Imagine a celebrity comes to visit the school
OR
There is a fire which causes damage to the school OR
Anything else?
You need to: Choose an interesting headline Write at least three or four paragraphs
Use the inverted pyramid to structure your article.
You can make up all the details – including interviews with witnesses.
Try to use a variety of different sentence and paragraph lengths.
Try to use a wide variety of vocabulary.
