They would love to spend a hot day splashing around in a pool. So why not

make their day interesting by introducing some games. Swimming pool

games. Here are a few simple and exiting games you can make your

children play.

What’s your color?

One person will stand at the edge of the pool, outside of it. The others will

stand inside it but close to him. Now, these players will decide one color for

each one of them but will not tell the same to the outside player. The player

who is outside will now randomly shout out colors. On hearing their color,

the players in the pool must quickly but silently move to the other side of

the pool. If the player outside the pool hears the sound of water, he can

turn around. And if the moving player is in between the two sides, he can

jump in the pool and catch him. Then, next round.

Float away

Let 2 children sit on their respective floats and race each other to the other

end rowing their bloats (float boats) with their hands.

Take a big transparent bottle with a cap that is similar to the color of the

water, fill it with water, so that it drowns, and throw it in the water. Now,

ask your children to find it. Get creative and think of other objects you can

use instead of the bottle.

On days that you have their friends over or are probably throwing a pool

party, there will be a lot of people to play. You know what that means right.

Yes. More fun! So, on those days, you can try these fun games for a big

group of people.

Let’s Whirl the Pool

Make the entire group stand at a small but equal distance from each other

along the wall of the pool. Now, ask them look in one direction and walk for

2 minutes, then jog for 2 minutes and then run for 2 minutes. This will

create a current in the water and make them flow with it. Now make them

turn to the other direction in the opposite current.

Head in. Head out.

In this, one player will stand at the centre of the pool and the others will

line up against the wall he is facing. Now, the will randomly bob their

heads out of the water. The player at the centre has to aim at the heads

that are out with soft balls. If keeps getting a chance until he hits the target,

and when he does, you all know the drill.
