Count Down Timer / Counter

Sometimes we get requests for timers and counters that count down instead of up. The instruction set does not allow for this except in the case of UP/DOWN counters. The ladder diagrams enclosed with this project demonstrate how to display the counts and times in a descending fashion from the preset value. These values can be used in relational contacts and HMI screens as well as operator interfaces. The comments on each rung describe what is happening. Please use the example as a reference for your particular application. It is up to the end user to determine suitability for their situation. Modifications to this ladder for a custom application will be the responsibility of the end user.
