Cricket 2002 Player Editor v2.00 by Tom Hicks-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. Features2. Instructions and Advice3. Feedback4. Known Issues5. Disclaimer-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1. FEATURES This program can alter pretty much everything that you may want to alter about a player. The following player details can be viewed/edited using this program:a) Nameb) Bowling Actionc) Bowling Aggressiond) Test Bowling Averagee) Test Best Bowling Figuresf) One Day International (ODI) Bowling Averageg) ODI Best Bowling Figuresh) Batting Handi) Batting Position (Opener, Middle Order, etc.)j) Batting Aggressionk) Test Batting Averagel) Test Highest Scorem) ODI Batting Averagen) ODI Highest Scoreo) Skin Colourp) Normal Fielding Positionq) Fielding Agilityr) Fielding "Arm" (Throwing Ability)s) Fielding "Hands" (Catching Ability)t) Player Face Skinu) Sound for Player Name 1v) Sound for Player Name 2 This means that you can modify the current players to bring in new players to keep the teams as up to date as possible. I have omitted some player details such as Captaincy, Star Players, etc. This is simply because if you choose more than one player as captain for a team, or more than two star players for a team, the game doesn't like it very much!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE You do not need to create a backup of the teams.tem file in My Documents\EA Sports\Cricket 2002\User because this is NOT the file which contains the raw team information. Cricket 2002 makes this file when you choose "Save Teams" in the "Squads" menu in the game, but until you do that the teams.tem file does not exist. When you are editing the players, the changes made to any player will not be recorded until you press the SAVE CURRENT RECORD button. If you want to restore the teams back to the defaults, simply delete the teams.tem file in My Documents\EA Sports... or choose RESTORE TEAMS from the "Squads" menu in the game.Advice------ I advise the following with regard to the use of this piece of software:a) DO NOT make bowling averages too small beacuse you wont be able to see the bowling aim markerb) DO NOT delete the file named Starts.datc) MAKE SURE that the directory you choose that you have installed Cricket 2002 (c) to is correct-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3. FEEDBACK If you have any comments or suggestions to improve the editor then let me know by email ([email protected]) If you have any other problems then tell me, but do not do that before you have read sections 2 and 4.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4. KNOWN ISSUES From the feedback that I have received from various users of the preceding versions of my player editor, the following problems have come to light:a) With certain operating systems (usually Windows XP) the program may produce a program error to do with a file named comdlg32.ocx. It may either be that the file included with the program is too old for your computer, or that it just doesn't recognise it. If this happens, firstly make sure that there is a file named comdlg32.ocx in the same folder as the editor. If there is, try simply renaming the file and try running it then. If the comdlg32.ocx file is not in the folder with the editor, check in the System folder of your version of Windows to see if there is a file named comdlg32.ocx in there. If it is not there either, try to obtain this file (there are links to help in the Cricket2002.tk Forum) and place it in the same folder as the editor. If this still doesn't work, try putting the newly obtained file in the System Folder for your version of Windows.b) If you do not supply the correct path for the location of the EA Sports Cricket 2002 program, then the player faces and kit numbers will not show correctly. If this happens, go to the folder where my Editor is located and delete the file named InstallationPath.txt. When you run the program again, you will be prompted to select the installation directory of Cricket 2002. If you choose the correct path, it should work. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5.
