SBEC Standards

Standard I. All teachers use technology-related terms, concepts, data input strategies and ethical practices to make informed decisions about current technologies and their applications. Standard II. All teachers identify task requirements, apply search strategies and use current technology to efficiently acquire, analyze, and evaluate a variety of electronic information.

Standard III. All teachers use task-appropriate tools to synthesize knowledge, create and modify solutions and evaluate results in a way that supports the work of individuals and groups in problem-solving situations.  

Standard IV.  All teachers communicate informaionin different formats and for diverse audiences.

Standard V. All teachers know how to plan, organize, deliver and evaluate instruction for all students that incorporates the effective use of current technology for teaching and integrating the Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) into the curriculum.

NATIONAL GOAL - Design, develop, and adopt technology based content, resurces, and online learning communities that ceate oppotunities for educators to cllaborate for more effective teaching, inspire and attract new people into the profession,and encourageour best educators to continue teaching.

District Alignment Goals

Goal - 55% of District Teachers will meet the technology assessment goals for technology assessments phase I.    

Goal - 20% of District Teachers will meet technology assessment goal for technology assessments phases II & III. 

Tech Phases in Progress

Teahers meeting tecnology goals:

57 % of tachers completed Phase I This is up from baseline of 55% 

         60% Completed Phase I   70% of staff will meet the EducatorTechnology proficiency standards.

46% ompleted Phase II         46% Completed Phase I   Continued Progress toward meeting Phase II requirements.
