Greetings from Mt. Adams Institute and Cascadia School!

We are thrilled to be conducting an action packed field trip to the Mt. Adams Institute and the Trout

Lake Natural Area Preserve. It is incredibly rewarding to share the natural and cultural history of the

area and engage xxxxxxxx school students in fun, adventuresome, outdoor activities.

The day will feature boating safety and learning skills related to kayaking. Throughout the day we will

feature activities on land and water.

Dressing for the out of doors will be key to keeping warm and happy. Your son or daughter should bring

outdoor clothes you won’t mind getting dirty, stained or torn. Students will be getting their “stream

clothes” wet. It is imperative students pack a 2nd set of dry clothes they can change into after we

conclude our float trip in the natural area preserve. The extra set of clothes can be placed in a day pack
