TIPS TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG READERSFall is a great time to pick fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, such as apples and pumpkins. Pair your activity with books on healthy eating and nutrition, or spend time reading kid-friendly cookbooks for fall recipes.
Read your book while your children read theirs – it sets a great example.
Consider allowing your child to stay up an extra 15 minutes past bedtime, but only to read!
