SENIOR ROUNDTABLE

• What is the purpose?• How do I initiate this with my

athletic director?• Who does this involve?• When are we going to meet?• What’s in it for me?

The PURPOSE• Get to know your classmates• Initiate discussions you would otherwise

not have on your own• Learn something from other programs.• Open line of communication with

administration• Communicate with Coaching Staff• Develop a positive culture in your

program

How do I Involve my AD?

• Approach your athletic director with an idea to develop positive leadership within your programs.

• Sell the idea of further developing relationships with student-athletes.

• A powerpoint version of this program can be supplied to them for free.

Who is Involved?• Senior leaders from each in-season

program. Student-athletes selected by coaching staff.

• Students meet one season prior to the start of their first practice (fall students meet in April/May).

• Meetings led by the athletics director.• Five meetings cover a variety of leadership

topics and conversation between students and administration.

When are We Going to Meet?

• Before School (breakfast meetings)

• During Student Resource Time (SRT)

• After school in your off-season.• Meetings are typically 45

minutes in length.

What’s in it for Me?• A chance to make a season
