For this recording I used an effect called ReaGate (Cockos). I changed the pre-open dial from 0ms to 33ms, the attack dial from 0ms to 10ms and the hold dial from 0ms to 95ms. Individually these dials didn’t affect the recording but when they were all changed that did have an effect on the recording. It made the recording a lot worse. These dials made the recording all jumpy like it hadn’t buffered properly or there was a bad signal. It also made the recording a little bit quieter. I would not use this effect for any future recordings as it makes the recording sound awful.
