4 Point Strategy

Mission Statement

ULBC’s God-glorifying and joy-producing mission is to know Jesus and make Him known.

Missions Strategy ULBC’s emphasis will be to primarily form

significant partnerships with local and foreign missionaries engaged in “frontier missions.”

“Frontier missions” is an effort of the church to penetrate an unreached people with the gospel and establish there an ongoing indigenous church mobilized for Great Commission work itself.

“When they had preached the gospel to that

city and had made many disciples . . . [they] appointed elders for them in every church.” Acts 14:21, 23

Paul’s efforts were in planting churches, not simply evangelizing people

At great cost to himself (vv19, 21), he returned to appoint elders so the church could endure

Our vision is to support Paul-like church-planting

“To him be glory in the church and in Christ

Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

God’s glory is primarily on display in this realm in the church

We want to partner with missionaries who plant churches: Because God’s design is for His glory to be in

churches Because churches are generational and provide a

platform for His glory to endure

“A great multitude that no one could number, from

every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:9-10

God deserves glory from all the peoples He has made

There are people groups who have not yet heard the gospel

We want the honor of bringing the elect from those unreached people to gather around the throne of the Lamb
