Vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Re-elect Van-Ha To-Cowell to the Lincoln Unified School District Board of Trustees What was accomplished in the last 4 years? • Student leadership opportunities in all schools. • Increased number of qualified high school students enrolled in Honors & Advanced Placement courses. • Anti-bullying Initiative • Cultural proficiency training for all staff to address the needs of our increasingly diverse student population. • PRIDE Academy: second chance for expelled students • Golden Bell Award from California School Boards Association: Construction Engineering Academy (2010) and Lincoln Latin Leadership (2011) • Promoted college culture through partnerships with the University of Pacific • Preserved the arts, athletics, and music programs • Rising test scores in many schools • Maintained a healthy budget throughout difficult economic times Commitment for the Future: 1. Student academic success for all students 2. Ensure the safety of staff and students. 3. Ensure that Measure A bond dollars are spent efficiently. 4.
