Steering units
The LAG steering unit for hydraulic steering is the main elementfor steering all types of machines. Due to the purely hydraulicforce transmission, it is possible to connect the steering unit tothe steering axial via hoses which, even with difficultinstallations, can easily be achieved.
The steering unit works to the rotary spool principle The LAG is a hydraulic force steering aid which also, if the
energy supply fails, makes the steering function possible with ahigher hand force (emergency operation).
Areas of application:Tractors, self-propelled agricultural and forestry machines,municipal machines, rollers, wheel loaders, mobile excavators,cranes, graders, mining machines, ships and fork lifts

Designs: LS-load-sensing non-reaction LS-load-sensing reactionThe steering unit with reduction ratio utilises a dosage pump. In emergencyoperation (when the energy supply fails) the displacement is reduced byswitching-off chambers. The remaining displacment volume makes it possiblewith the same hand force to achieve a higher pressure. It is, thereforepossible in many cases to eliminate the emergency steering pump.
The LAGU steering unit also contains all of the valves which are requiredto provide safety functions for the steering circuit.
