Forwarding ports for Remote Desktop Connection for Multiple PC’s.

Quit Registry Editor.Change the port number to what you want to use, as long as it is not already being used.

=======================================But, What I want to know is, what is EH-Tcp with the port number 3390?

This is where you change the port you want to use in Windows XP. RDP-Tcp (3389 is standard port for XP)

Windows XP does not have the “EH-Tcp” entry only RDP-Tcp.

Answer: This is for Vista. You need to change this port also on all PC’s you intend to connect to.

After you get these ports changed, you need to forward these ports on your Router to your local static IP of the PC you want to connect to.

This works! Use the ports you set in the Registry under EH-Tcp (Vista) or RDP-Tcp (XP) in port forwarding.

This is where you change the port you want to use in Windows Vista. EH-Tcp (3390 is standard port for Vista)

I changed them both RDP-Tcp & EH-Tcp to the same as what I wanted in Vista.

I may not have needed these entries, because I have them already in Port Forwarding. But It works so we will leave it at that!

Make sure you enter the ports you changed for RDP-Tcp or EH-Tcp in the registry here in the port forwarding of the Router, You will also have to allow the ports to be open if you have windows fire wall on also.

You must set a local static IP for your machines that you want to Remote desktop to. Look below to see how this is done. This should be the first thing you do. How to set up a Static IP for your PC

1. Open your network connections, this is server 2003, and set a static local IP for your PC's.(XP and Vista are pretty much the same, just different locations to the Network connection in Vista).

For Vista. Go to Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center\ on the left side click on > Manage Network Connections.                   This would be your local IP not your external IP

These Entries must be in Port forwarding for sure, or it will not work.

Make sure you enter the ports you changed for RDP-Tcp or EH-Tcp in the registry here in the port forwarding of the Router, You will also have to allow the ports to be open if you have windows fire wall on also.

4. Now select what I have shown Highlighted and input your local static IP and DNS info that you want to use, Most DNS Info can be found on the router info page, or use command prompt and type “ipconfig /all” (without the quotes) and this will show you your DNS info. Make sure there is one space between “ipconfig” and “/all”.To use command prompt click Start > Run then type CMD in the box and press enter.

How to use TSWeb or Remote Desktop to connect to your PC using IP and Port.

Below shows how to use TSWeb to connect to your PC externally using IP and PortServer: is your external IP or Domain name.Size: of course is the viewing window size.Check: the box logon info.User name: is your user name on the PC or Administrator depending on if you want to use Admin.Domain: is the actual PC local Static IP of the PC with port or the actual PC name with port.

The 1st Pic below is if you use any standard connection TSWeb Page. Notice the Port is at the end of the Local IP address or the Full PC name.

The 2nd Pic below is if you use my Custom TSWeb with the port BOX.

Below shows how to connect with Remote Desktop externally using IP and Port you set for RDP-Tcp or EH-Tcp in the Registry.Computer: is the IP and Port of the remote PC. The Port actually represents the PCyou are connecting to, whether it be PC-1 74.175.236.15:3395 or PC-2 74.175.236.15:3396 etc.Using this locally you just use Local IP and :port or full PC name and :port, (Example) Jakes-PC1:3395
