UWI ROTARACT MEETING
On Saturday Nov. 5, Director Win-
ston, Rtn Makonem and Rtn. Fiona
met with the Rotaractors at UWI dur-
ing their lunch mee8ng. Notwith-
standing the bad weather, the
mee8ng was well a�ended and very
animated.

SIMPLE REMINDERS: SANDWICHES FOR CAROLS—these will
be provided by Emerald City Supermarket. Each member is
required to contribute $100.00 on account. This will be includ-
ed in your Rotary Account. SANDWICHES FOR THE SENIOR
CITIZENS’ TEA PARTY - Each member will be required to pro-
vide sandwiches from a loaf of bread and one PET bo�le. AT-
TIRE—all persons working in the food and drink stalls obtain
a health cer8ficate from their Doctor AND will be required to
cover their heads and wear no sleeveless tops.

CLASSIFICATION TALK:
Rtn. Fiona Hinds gave her Classifica-
8on talk. Rtn. Fiona is an A�orney-at-
Law who both prac8ses and teaches
intellectual property law. She joined
the RCoB in July 2015 and her Classifi-
ca8on is intellectual property law and
her talk concerned the importance of
understanding the relevant intellectu-
al property rights and protec8ng
these rights as valuable assets. Right:

BUT WHO IS THE RECIPIENT???
IPP Jedder won the raffle. In keeping with the spirit of giving
for which Rotary is well known, IPP Jedder aHer much consid-
era8on gave his giHs to two of our guests who both visited
from NISE.
OUR CONDOLENCES: Condolences to Rtn. Brian Cole on the
death of his mother Mrs. Hermine Cole. May she rest in
Peace.

MEET OUR GREETERS:
Director Diana Douglin Club Service Director Diana Douglin became a member of
the Rotary Club of Barbados joining the Rotary Club of Bar-
bados on June 06, 2013. Her Classifica8on is Legal Services –
Corporate. She was introduced to the Club by SAA & PD
Heather Tull. She has served as Editor of the RotaNews 2013
-14, on the Voca8onal and Membership Development Com-
mi�ees, on the A�endance, Bulle8n, Safety & CPR and as
the researcher for the Profiles in Community Service Ser-
vices. During the 2015-16 year Director Diana successfully
completed the first Community Challenge which was to have
a ramp built for a double amputee.
RTN Waldo Clarke Past Director H. Waldo Clarke joined the Club on April 01,
2010 along with three other persons: Rtn. Sanjay Amin, Rtn.
Mark Cox and Rtn. Shawn Franklin. He was introduced by PP
John Cabral. His classifica8on is Manufacturing – Textured
Coa8ngs. In the year 2010-11, (9 months membership) Jan-
uary – June 2011, Waldo served out the term as Club Service
Director for Neil Owen who was posted overseas. He served
as Director New Genera8ons (now Youth Service) 2011-2013
and he returned to Club Service serving as Director for 2013-
2015. Currently he serves as Deputy Chair for Fellowship.
