Back in December 2014, rising underground Australian producer LO'99 released the f irst wave of his collaboration with Marshall F, ?Take Me Back?, to widespread crit ical acclaim, hitt ing the # 3 spot on the Australian club charts over the New Year period.

Along with his off icial remixes for Kaskade, CRNKN and Royksopp (# 1 remix on Hype Machine), he established himself as one of the most exciting new talents to watch out for in 2015.

Now he?s back ? and before he drops a ton of brand new music onto eager ears, he delivers this l itt le number for fans to sink their teeth into. Celebrating the impending UK release of ?Take Me Back' with a brand new remix from Ray Foxx, LO?99 unleashes one fat weapon in the shape of his free-to-download VIP Remix.

Premiered earlier this week across UKF?s YouTube channel and originally made for LO?99 and Marshall F?s heavier club sets, the new remix contains enough reverberating bass to make it a viable threat to any sensitive electrical equipment. Going in on the original vocal and twisting the knife with one of the most sickening bass sweeps in a long time, LO?99 underlines his ability to create some of the darkest, f ilthiest grooves known to grace modern dance f loors down under and abroad.

Set to tour across Australia in the next few months, previews of his next original single ?My Mind?, due for release on Medium Rare Recordings in May, will crop up early next week. Those in the UK will f inally be able to get their hands on the new ?Take Me Back? package, along with Ray Foxx?s full international remix coming very soon. t incidunt.

JEAN-MICHEL JARRE WRITTEN BY: MATT FILICI

About Jean-Michel JarreJean-Michel Jarre f irst came to international fame with his number one hit album,

?OXYGENE?, which went on to sell over 18 mill ion copies worldwide.

A pioneer in his f ield, Jarre has largely contributed to the fastest growing musical revolution of all t imes, Electronic Music: conceiving music in terms of sounds rather than only in terms of notes, and thus allowing the composer to become his own craftsman.

Having followed formal studies of harmony and counterpoint at the Conservatoire de Paris, he then entered the GRM in 1969 (Groupe de Recherches Musicales) in Paris under the direction of Pierre Schaeffer where he was inspired to reinvent music at its core, with his own singular vision, deploying the technology and tools at hand.

This pioneering approach gave birth to worldwide hit albums such as ?OXYGENE?, ?EQUINOXE?, MAGNETIC FIELDS?, ?ZOOLOOK?, ?RENDEZVOUS?, ?WAITING FOR COUSTEAU?, ?CHRONOLOGIE?, ?AERO?? over 80 mill ion albums sold to date.

Following through with his revolution in music, he also conceived a brand-new genre and format of concert production and performance; breaking away from the traditional theatre and arena context, Jarre brought his music and vision outdoors to the masses. Often free and open-to-all, these state-of-the-art concert-spectaculars showcase the natural or urban environment in which they are performed ? truly singular, sonic and visual ?land-art? events, conceived and performed on a unique scale for a one-off experience.

Jarre?s legendary concerts have attracted Guinness Record-breaking audiences across the planet. They take place in exceptional settings, marking extra-ordinary contexts: f irst western musician invited to perform in post-Mao Red China, Millennium at the Great Pyramids of Egypt, Houston City concert in collaboration with NASA in memory of the Challenger space crew, Concert for His Holiness Pope John Paul II, France?s Eif fel Tower in celebration of World Cup football victory, Gdansk?s shipyard at the init iative of Nobel Peace Laureate Lech Walesa, London?s Docklands, Beijing?s Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, the Sahara Desert? to the absolute record live audience of 3.5 mill ion in Moscow.

Between 2008 & 2011, Jean-Michel Jarre embarked on his f irst ever world tour, which has taken him to over 35 countries with over 220 performances. In July 2011, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco called upon Jean-Michel Jarre to celebrate his Royal Wedding by creating and performing a concert-event in the Principality, which was largely broadcast on television & Internet worldwide.

The French musician has a dedicated ongoing engagement since 1993 to the United Nations via UNESCO, as Ambassador and spokesperson for Environment and Education and most recently Jean-Michel Jarre was elected President of CISAC in Washington June 6th 2013, succeeding the late Robin Gibb.

2015, Jean-Michel Jarre is currently working on his new music project.

Page 8: Raver Magazine - June Edition 2015

Visionary composer and producer Jean-Michel Jarre has announced the June 19 release of three special edition vinyl EPs containing collaborations with 3D (Massive Attack), Tangerine Dream & Gesaffelstein. With music taken from his forthcoming studio album, all three EPs will be limited to 1000 copies and available to buy exclusively via The Vinyl Factory.

Having unveiled a preview of his M83 collaboration ?Glory? back in April, shortly followed by the release of his single ?Conquistador? with Gesaffelstein, Jarre?s reveal of the next two cohorts to join his project don?t come any bigger. Now, with the likes of Tangerine Dream, 3D, M83 and Gesaffelstein all off icially on board, it?s becoming abundantly clear that Jarre is carefully hand-selecting the most inf luential voices of both the past and

present to join him on his musical journey.

First up, Jarre teams up with 3D from Massive Attack to create ?Watching You?, a piece of music that perfectly balances the ethereal sounds of the Frenchman with the underground and experimental sounds of the Bristol native. In addition to the Original Version, the B-Side will feature a ?Jarre Reworked Version? and an ?Extended 3D Mix? from Robert ?3D? Del Naja himself . Furthermore, Jarre has also enlisted the help of 3D to design the artwork to ?Watching You? that you can see in the background.

Tangerine Dream came together with Jarre late last year to put the f inishing touches to their work on ?Zero Gravity?, just before founding member, genius and the only continuous member of the group, Edgar Froese passed away in January 2015. Jarre therefore has decided to dedicate the release of ?Zero Gravity? to Froese?s memory, and has included a memento on the vinyl sleeve to pay homage to all of the astounding work that the German pioneer did over the years. Tangerine Dream have released more than one hundred albums worldwide since their inception and have been labelled true innovators by many for their role in the creation of genres such as ?krautrock? and ?new-age music?. Whether it is the music of fellow Germans, Kraftwerk, the psychedelic sounds of Porcupine Tree or the alternative rock of Kasabian, all acts throughout the scene have been inf luenced by the impact of Tangerine Dream. Also celebrated by a new generation for their scores for Risky Business, Thief and most recently Grand Theft Auto V, an alliance between two of the most forward-thinking acts of the last century works f lawlessly as ?Zero Gravity? takes us on a journey across a host of ambient, electronic and synth-heavy sounds. The B-Side to ?Watching You? will include a remix from none other than Above & Beyond who, similarly to Jarre, have played some of the most extraordinary gigs around the world over the last 20 years and prove their mettle with an epic and trance driven edit of the original.

With its dark and gritty bassline complemented by haunting synths throughout, Jarre?s f irst single, ?Conquistador?, made in collaboration with Gesaffelstein delivered on every level imaginable. Crit ically acclaimed by some of the biggest tastemakers out there in the form Fact Magazine, Tsugi, Mixmag and many more, it was the perfect prelude for what is set to come from the French maestro over the coming months. Never one to rest on his laurels, the B-Side to ?Conquistador? has Jarre further tweaking his music as he provides exceptional edits to his original work in the form of a rock-infused JMJ Remix and an extended version of remix.

From June 19 and limited to only 1000 copies, the special edition vinyl EPs will be available exclusively via The Vinyl Factory website at the cost of £10 each. Upon release, fans will also have the opportunity to pre-order Jarre?s f irst album in over eight years, with the A-Sides to all three songs becoming instant grats upon ordering.

Did I say Hard Work or Hardstyle?

facebook.com/moxiehardstyle twitter.com/moxiehardstyle instagram.com/moxiehardstyle/

When it comes for DJ Moxie there is no other way to go but HARD. Hardstyle that is, to an extreme! Moxie?s music bangs as a beat of 145 ? 150bpm!!!! That?s heart stopping? Moxie is dif ferent. He is the real deal when it comes to producing music that is original. It?s not the same old boring tracks that are overplayed at a festival or event. When we asked Moxie what makes his style standout amongst the rest he told us that it?s the risk.

?Risk? I asked?

?Yes, it?s the ability to be able to take music to the next level that makes Moxie unique and original. If I?m at an event my fans will never know what I am going to put out onstage. Everything is dif ferent, it will always be dif ferent so that I am not your foregone conclusion as to what you will expect. I want my music to keep people on the edge of wonder not knowing what is going track is going to come out or what I have prepaid for them.?

DJ Moxie?s music is a mixture of dif ference. It has a f lavor of electro, trap, and trance combined together with a hard dance style that will leave you in world that is truly far from our own. When it comes to hard work, DJ Moxie is creating new elements of music non-stop in the studio. For him, its not just about getting gigs to perform; it?s about creating a new sensation, a new vibe that the EDM community is looking to experience. Studio Time and Event Time go hand in hand with DJ Moxie.

Raver Magazine had the opportunity to interview DJ KALOS this month in his studio based out in Denver. DJ KALOS started off the interview by saying that the name, KALOS, is a Greek word meaning 'good'. It can also be construed and used as a slang word meaning Graff it i. ?Performance names are so hard to come by, they can mean so many things, but for myself , I was looking for a name that not only would stick, but have meaning. That?s when KALOS emerged.? I went on to ask? ?WHY is everyone saying F**K KALOS?? ?So you noticed??

Yes, in fact that was one of the reasons why we reached out to you. EVERYONE is # and mentioning your name in the EDM world as F**K KALOS.? ?Funny you ask that. Most of my followers # and take pics with my sign F**K KALOS to show their support.? I was creating a new track and vibe one night with my friends and one just screamed it out F**K KALOS to one of my tracks. It stuck and thought why not take a negative vibe or word and spin it in a positive way. Now, when anyone says, good or bad mind you, F**K KALOS it will always be seen in a positive light. Just check out the thousands of posts from

A LEGEND IN THE MAKING:

DJ / Producer - DERRO

Q: Whats your inspiration?

A: I think my biggest inspiration is Avicii, not really because of his style of music but because of his success. I'm not doing this for money but It 's really hard to f ind an inspiration for my music because I try to f ind my own style.

Q:Where do you plan on taking your music this year.

A: I send a lot of demos this week because I have f inished a lot of new tracks and I hope all will went well. I would really l ike to play at some festivals, some would be interested but I'm not allowed, because of my age.

Q:What's one thing you would like your fans and followers to know about you?

A: I just want to thank everybody who supports me, I got from 0 to like 25k on twitter in just 1 year and that's really sick. My track with MidiFlexx will be out on the 15th of May and my Remix for Zayn Malik will be out this month too.

Page 14: Raver Magazine - June Edition 2015

Q ?What?s the next stop for DJ KALOS? What?s your focus??

A "For right now take it one step at a time. A well-known producer told me once. Take time to create rather then just jump out to the EDM world with a few hit tracks. If you do so the possibil it ies are endless. So that's what I am going to do. I just released my track 'Bounce.' I?m in the process of creating more uplif t ing tracks that will get people to just dance. That?s the plan, I do have a few gigs lined up for the year, but the main focus will be to continue to create."

Q "What?s one thing you want people to take away from the world of producing?"

A ?The main thing is TIME. Most people don?t know all that it takes for a producer to create a two, or three minute track. It can take upwards of 6 -7 months to get that track the way it needs to be in order to get the vibe, the right feeling, the right energy. But once we do, the party will never stop? "

For KALOS that?s the goal, create, produce and get everyone to say F**K KALOS. In short, this was an amazing interview from a rising EDM producer. DJ KALOS will be taking the world of EDM to another level. Raver Magazine supports him 1000% and will give him a shout out by simply saying? ? ? F**K KALOS

Ful l Bio on DJ / Producer KALOS

Kalos was formed in February 2012 with the intention to make music and connect with fans. With a creative mind I strive to push myself to the limits and go outside of the box and create my own path. With trap inf luences I aim to make the music that will piss off your parents and leave you with your jaw on the ground. The EDM community is the best community due to the sole fact that it was raised on loving each other and getting lost in the music, and thats exactly what im here to do! I love all my fans and without any of you what I am creating is not possible. So I continue to thank each and every person who listens, shares, and loves my music! "Trap is my home EDM is my playground"

DADA LIFE

BROOKLYN SET & INTERVIEW BY CHASE MORGAN

Page 16: Raver Magazine - June Edition 2015

The long anticipated DADA Life Brooklyn compound show was upon us, I arrived to a crowd wrapped around the building. I haven't seen more smiles in 20 degree weather since a powder day in Tahoe before the ski l if ts start turning. This was dif ferent though there was a feeling of mystery as I was searched for on the guest l ist.My good friend Greg came charging at me comically in a banana suit arms crossed shivering bouncing up and down. He had won tickets somehow and needed in before he was f it to be chocolate covered after freezing. As Greg and I went in we realized this was a no BS show. It consisted of dingy rundown warehouse and 2 fully stocked bars, which I wasn't expecting. I could already tell the show was going to take you back to the days when raves were raves and people partied like Armageddon was immanent by sunrise.

The positivity in the crowd that had already been let in was unlike I'm used to with other artists. Maybe it 's the anticipation of what's to come, although I think it has more to do with what DADA expects from it 's cit izens in it 's Sovereign Nation of DADA LAND. Along with a the DADA mantra; "All you have to do is bring is one smile and we will give you all night", I received my smile mask at the door but knew that I'd have one just as big when they dropped their tracks.

DADA is infamous for their elaborate shenanigans. This time it was more of the same; bananas, champagne, pil low f ights and inf latables. The secret location was enough to f it the bil l never feeling overcrowded if you didn't need to be. In the photos the intensity of the set can be felt. Sweaty hordes of fans could be seen losing their mind and going into utter euphoria when then the beat dropped to Happy Violence, one of their most well known tracks. This caused a surge against stage, a row of oversized bouncers were struggling to hold the fans back. Overall it was an amazing set everybody arrived pretty and went home ugly... yet smiling.

Q &A Q: Have you thought about just buying up an island and just proclaiming it DADA LAND? I'm sure your dedicated future cit izens would donate for such a glorious place!

A: "We have looked into that, yes. Unfortunately most islands that are for sale aren't on international water. But yes, we're planning a permanent future for Dada Land

Q: When your not laying down fat sausage tracks what would be an ideal night for you guys? Do you rage or relax, or are the shows where that all happens?

A: "It depends on where in the world we are. Some cities are relaxing and some are not. When we're home in Stockholm it 's more relaxing than anything else. Good food, good friends. The usual!"

Q: Do you ever feel l ike the fans mold the way you produce something? As a photographer, they?re photos that I take that people love that I necessarily don't l ike as much, then for self-promotion I f ind that it might be more lucrative to head in that direction for the pure fact that I enjoy making more people smile. Do you ever feel that way about your music?

A: "Not really. We don't care that much what people think of us. We didn't in the beginning when no one listened to us - and we don't do it now either. We always love our latest song, and when there's a new one that's where our focus is. We want to move forward all the time, not looking back."

Q: Everybody has their creative dif ferences, with such an original sound is there one thing that you guys can agree to disagree on?

A:"We disagree on everything when we're making music! Everything from the tiniest details to the overall structure of a song. We just f ight it out."

Q: Alright, so here's the scenario, you both are headed to the same f loor on a high rise building, in competit ive spirit you both take separate elevators. Suddenly it stops whom would you want to be stuck with? How come?A: "Larry David!"
