Importing Lists to Facebook

• Facebook let’s you import lists and invite them to join your Facebook page.

• Here’s a step by step guide.

Prepare your List

Facebook allows the following formats:• Outlook & Outlook Express• Windows Address Bok• Mozilla Thunderbird• Palm Desktop & Palm Desktop (vCard)• Entourage• Mac OS X Address Book• LinkedIn• Windows Mail• Excel files formatted for CSV or TXT (I saved my excel

spreadsheet as a CSV file for this example)

Open your Facebook page

• Select Tell Your Fans option –

– Upload a Contact file.

Step #2 – Select browse your computer option.

#2a. Browse to find the file on your computer. Select and press Open.

Step #3 – Once contact file is selected, press Upload Contacts

C:\\Documents and Setting

Facebook will then upload your contact list.

Step 4. Here’s the next screen you’ll see once Facebook has uploaded the contacts.

You have the option to deselect any contacts you do not want to invite at this time.

Step 5 – Send Invitation by pressing send button.

Facebook provides a standard message to invite your contacts to your Facebook page. We did not see any options for customization so make sure you are happy with the image shown and title of your page.You must check the Agree box and then press Send.

Facebook will send the invitation to the contact list you uploaded automatically.You are done.
