• RatePlug is embedded into the MLS system.

• When you send your MLS property reports to your customers, they will now have access to accurate, interactive mortgage product and payment information specific to each property. The payment information is based on up to date interest rates from our uploaded interest rates and includes property taxes, assessments, and home owner’s insurance estimations.

• You and your customer can interact with the information and play “what if” scenarios to best determine their financing needs. In addition, the customer is given the ability to ask mortgage questions and is provided access directly to us for contact information.

2011 RatePlug Study ResultsThe studies looked at 49,775 real estate transactions in 7 major marketplaces in the U.S. (San Diego, Chicago, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island). The data was derived from Agents that are Active with RatePlug and Agents who are not Active with RatePlug in order to determine the Total # of Days between List date and Contract date. The data included Single Family homes, Townhomes and Condominiums

This demonstrates an Average of 23.71% reduction in the transaction timeline between List Date and Contract Date for Agents that are using RatePlug across 7 major marketplaces in 3 regions of the U.S.

FTCMortgage Advertising Practices

The FTC recently implemented new requirements regarding Mortgage advertising. It prohibits misrepresentations and imposes recordkeeping standards on all real estate professionals who provide information on mortgage products to consumers.

Relationship Disclaimer – RatePlug has added a new disclaimer based on the NAR recommended language to our Property Flyer System that clearly states that the Agent and the Real Estate company listing the property are not mortgage lenders and any questions regarding financing should be posed to the lender directly. The addition of this language protects the Agent from any potential misrepresentation claims.Recordkeeping Standards – the FTC has stipulated that any mortgage information given to clients must be archived for up to 6 years. RatePlug now stores an image of every property flyer created, as well as every RatePlug display that a client may view and retains that image for easy recovery by both the agent and the lender.
